They just need to flip range on the shotgun archetypes. High impact shotguns should have less range as a tradeoff. Whereas low impact should have more range. That's how it always should have been imo, and it would have made some of the shotgun nerfs unnecessary. Balance fire rate as needed.
That way you can kill an enemy in one shot, therfore conserving ammo, at really close range or take them out in a couple of shots at a little longer distance.
It just doesn't make sense for the highest damage shotguns to have the highest range as well balance-wise.

Then They would have to make it that the low impact shotguns require two shots to kill or else we'll have a bigger problem then we already do with the high impact shotguns

I'd like to be able to kill someone with invective, in CT-D range, without spraying all 4 bullets, so i agree.
