So quick question coming from a guy who hasn't played since pearl. Would you people suggest I get back into the pokemon series? And if so, what new additions have come through in current titles?

  • O powers allow you to boost exp, money gain or capture probability for example for a certain time. You gotta find them though and they can level up up to lv 3. Wonder trade makes you trade a poke with another person randomly, it's damn fun and you gain pokemiles doing it, so even if you give a great one and receive a Weedle it wasn't a waste, cause pokemiles can be exchanged for rare candy, max revive and other items. GTS or global trade system allows you to deposit a poke and ask for another (you choose) in exchange, or look for the poke you want and see what other trainers are asking for it. Also there is mega evolution now

  • X/Y are pretty bad, honestly, but Ruby/Sapphire remakes are really good. Don't fall for the IGN bull, try it. Also, the newer games are better for competitive players.

  • Better for competition. OK, but how's the casual side of it?

  • The casual side is great too, but it is too easy if you're doing a normal walkthrough. Playing with certain drawbacks is really fun.

  • Cool I'll check them out. Ruby/sapphire were one of the better ones for me
