I swear if they announce those locked exotics and shaders that are ALREADY FINISHED as "new content" and try to sell it I am 100% done. I will say f-ck this game for good lol.

If it comes with the Spring Update, I'll still be pissed. Imagine how many Engrams and Reputation Levels we've blown past in TTK, for Bungo to have made it all moot in the end and try to make us grind like slaves for Shaders? Who the -blam!- do they think they are? Who the -blam!- do they think we are?
-
They think we're hamsters.
-
B[ Does that make Luke Smith King of the Hamsters?
-
No you won't lol
-
I sure as hell won't pay for that shit.

Agree to disagree!

Edited by iDovahBear: 2/28/2016 3:05:14 PMWell, considering I'll have nothing but sweaty PvP, 0 True "Friends" to do the content with, and zero reasons to trust in the developer... And that being the general opinion other fanboys... I don't think he's bluffing. Though most people do give into the temptation. Most games haven't been trying to compete with Destiny, it makes finding an alternative hard. But after getting fleeced, screwed and mistreated enough, people will eventually stop giving a damn to even bother trying to like it.

My opinion is that if you're still playing, you're pot-committed. Everyone complains and says "I'm done if they <X>." Then they just come back to the forums and complain about the game for the next 6 months.

Edited by iDovahBear: 2/28/2016 3:28:14 PMI dabble in the game, but I haven't really been able to sit through an entire match without calling BS since 2.1. Haven't been able to reliably put together a team since I swapped from 360 to Xbox One, and even then it was a hassle. They drove at least half my friends away with The Taken King. Think what you want. I get that you hear it a lot. But that's why we've been getting to such dire circumstances recently. The forums are usually bad, and then there's a brief relief period. I haven't seen a relief period in quite some time. Actually, what I'm starting to notice, is a complete lack of interest develop. But that's probably all part of Bungo's plan. Get them to burn out well before the next DLC, yes of course. But what's the point of playing if your friends don't play? Case and point: Bungo is driving people away and putting strains of social infrastructures of former Guardians. Reliving the LFG nightmare day after day isn't entertainment, and Bungo doesn't deserve the opportunities they've had if their game plan is to stretch out their mediocrity out of pure slothfulness, and avoid taking responsibility to develop in-game tools for playing the game. They're going to expect more than they've earned. And as long as you're all prepared to give that to them, go right on ahead. Unless people on my friends list suddenly start logging onto Destiny again and the 2.2.0 patch fixes the meta, there's just no chance. This is turning into a damned circus act.

Go to the100.io and join a clan of sorts. This game is alive and well.
-
See, the problem here is that you're laboring over the delusion I want to constantly have to remake friends. That's just not the kind of person I tend to be.
-
"Laboring" is a bit of a stretch there, but I won't mince words. If you're going to play a game that requires friends, and refuse to make new ones when your old ones move on, then you should probably move on, too.

Bump!

The content would be new to us. Pretty sure that no one has anything content wise that no one else can get......except FoAF. Anyway, the playable content would be new to us, the players. Just because it is a last minute design change, rebalance, other content that matches in theme not ready, or whatever reason for not giving us everything at once, doesn't mean that it has to be a devious money making scheme. Wouldn't having the code in place even though the content isn't complete be faster than doing it all at once when the entire product is ready? Besides, Bungie and craptivision both need to make copious amounts of strippers and cocaine money. Otherwise craptivision might not think continuing this game is feasible. If they stopped supporting Destiny, you and your army of parrots would have to find another game to squawk about business conspiracies. Seriously, it's been over a year, obviously you are a troll, poor attemp at satire, or an idiot. I personally claim the idiot as I play almost as often as Y1

Edited by iDovahBear: 2/28/2016 11:45:28 AMI think it's funny you start with "...doesn't mean that it has to be a devious money making scheme" and "...Bungie and craptivision both need to make copious amounts of strippers and cocaine money." I mean, when you try to express those two ideas, you really end up being counter-productive in trying to distinguish them. Also, it's not about them dividing up content to entice players. At this point, it's just a fake carrot on a stick we've been grinding our Cryptarch Packages for. They forgot to turn on the drop chances, and everyone just blew through the bulk of the content cycle. NOBODY is going to be getting any of those yet, and they were all presumably for the Taken King. Even if they weren't, then that just means Bungo was dangling a wax carrot for the entire -blam!-ing content cycle as far as Cryptarch Packages and Crucible Packages went. You can pretend it doesn't matter, but for a game that claims customization features, RNG ends up preventing most from their favorite choices. I've played Destiny Y1 and Y2. I've been playing less Y2, but there's also substantially less content. But my Golden Age is apparently over. Everything I see now is just hills of class nerfs and nerfed weapons. I haven't been able to enjoy PvP since 2.1 originally launched back in December-ish. You can pretend it's fine for you, but it's not fine for everyone. At this rate Bungo will find the straw that broke the camel's back. It won't end soon, but I guarantee you a 10 year cycle is going to mean tons of fake carrots and constant feeling of betrayal from Bungie. I'm just going to get ahead of it and start deleting everything the moment they say it wasn't intended for TTK, but was placed tantalizingly in front of players to make them think they dropped. It was likely a ruse the whole time.

While there are many changes I would like to see, I still feel that overall Destiny was made for me. I still enjoy playing as often as possible and rarely play anything else on console. I think Bungie is heading in the right direction, just maybe wrong continent. The updates tend to make the game better as a whole even when glitches happen. I do not believe they are ever trying to screw us. I do believe they suck at saving face in the aftermath of a BungieBrandBungle. Many situations felt mishandled to many of us. Without the proper context and everything being secondhand info at best, how are we supposed to know the truth anyway? Would the truth matter? I like Destiny so I continue to play no matter what they say. How many people still buy from EA despite how trash they treat their customers and the industry in general? I guess this and my original reply were inspired by 1.5 years of posts about how people are looking for reasons to NOT play. Maybe it would be more beneficial for those Guardians to look for a better game to play than too look for reasons to not play this one?
-
I was giving this post a chance right up until you called me an idiot. Muted.
-
I almost guarantee that's what they are going to do. They have a history of this.
-
They treat the customer pretty damn awful honestly which creates a toxic community. There's some friendly people here but the terrible RNG they created and the endless time consuming grind causes elitism and bad attitudes. I was playing a nightfall this morning and wondering why they don't increase the amount of enemies in missions and lower their health. The bullet sponge bs makes for such a slow drawn out experience. 30 seconds to revive? Don't they want us to spend more time playing the game? Why make everything take so long to do. Why make it take 55or more cryptarch rank ups to obtain a color option? Why don't enemies drop materials we need for weapons and gear? It's just pointless. The grind and drawn out experience is how they created the illusion of content that is this wonderful game called destiny.

Tell me about it
