Which one would you guys enlist in if you decided to? The reason I ask is because now that I'm out of high school and am realizing how truly difficult it is to pay your way through college, the military is increasing looking like a very good option. I've already talked with a Marine recruiter, and depending on how the next few months go I may enlist. So, long story short, I'm just kinda curious as to which branch y'all would go to.
-
What do the marines do? Ive been wondering this for a couple of years.
-
If I choose airforce will I have to fly a plane or no
-
I'm still deciding on whether I want to join. I got a category 1 score on the ASVAB so I can pretty much do any job I want.
-
I went in the Army, but if I had to do it over I would choose Air Force. I could've done the same job with less BS. I don't regret my time in the Army. I learned a lot and met my husband.
-
None because I don't want to go into the armed forces.
no disrespect to all who serve but I see it as a waste of time
Well I suck at swimming so not navy or coast guard I'm Terrified of heights so there goes airforce So that leaves the army and the marines Although the marines tend to do a lot of air and water things I would pick them because I feel like they have the biggest effect on the war and I wouldn't want to go through all that training to just have 1 battle

Coast Guard. Seems like the least dangerous option.

As a soldier in the army and former marine...go air force. Unless you like doing dumb shit and wasting your time.

Air force by a mile. If I had to do it all over again, that's what I'd do.
-
I'd go with Air Force but that's because I just naturally picked up how to fly I have no idea when so yah
-
I'd go for navy or airforce, I'd enjoy being a pilot or a naval officer. But that's me However, the army and marines do get tanks And we do know
tank beats everything
From everything I've learned in my life with family, friends and mentors having all served and me almost going army (bad eyes, cant serve in any branch): air force is the way to go for career both military and civi (most comfortable service), marines if u want to make a difference and be part of a unique brotherhood and be first boots on the ground Army if u want a civilian career and not have the equipment shortages and issues of the marines, navy if u want to be bored for 4 yrs (if ur not a pilot or captain) Coast guard: "thats a military branch?"

Coast Guard is the only one part of Department of Homeland Security and can be a great way to directly transition into another agency like CBP.

Talk to every recruiter and see what suits your needs. I myself am joining he Navy as soon as I graduate college. I will be having them pay for my masters and potentially my doctorate in the long run. I graduated from the same high school as my hero. I actually got to meet him and get to know him because he lived down the road from me. I hope to follow in his footsteps. I am referring to Chris Kyle. I will be bidding for an operations contract within the following two years. If you're really wanting to join then make sure you have checked every option and make sure you know what you want to do. Because if you can't get the rate you want it's going to suck, so make sure you have several options. Just make an educated decision before you sign your life away to the government. Learn to live with the fact that there will be a lot of people who do not like you for what you choose regardless of what side of the fence you are on, and the congressmen don't care because they were a suit and tie and you'll live and breathe in camies and kevlar. Life's hard man, just never quit, and be happy with the choices you've made and you will make.

I mean it depends do you want to hate your life every single day and develop a drinking problem but swim in vag like Michael phelps(usmc) or do you want to play tummy sticks with every dude in the surround 12 mile radius? (Every other branch, especially usaf and uscg)

I have no intention of ever enlisting, but my dad was drafted into the army... and then enlisted in the air force because he figured he had better survival odds. I don't know about now, but during Vietnam the army and marines were basically cannon fodder. Air force and navy had a much higher survival rate.
-
Navy irl so navy
-
Probably the Chair Force. Also where's the Weekend Warriors?
National Guard
-
Well I joined the Marines, so them. But go Airforce man, it's going to be so much easier.
-
You'll get promoted faster with the Army.

Army! Rangers lead the way!
