i'll make this quick and too the point and try not to bore anyone with a TLDR disability
the current vault is nice in its current form but it can be even better.(and hopefully make room for more interesting items)
consumables, synths, ect
Easiest fixes to these would be to keep them out of your vault and make them universal for all characters but its not only saving time but making players feel less pressured about making new characters and switching items all the time
- HEAVY, SPECIAL, PRIMARY(synths):
these would have no stack limit similar to motes motes of light
stay on the left side of the inventory screen for all your characters
- the placement of the synths would be stacked vertically on the left side of the inventory page of all your characters
- STRANGE COINS, PASSAGE COINS, GLASS NEEDLES, WEAPON PARTS, MOTES OF LIGHT AND PLANETARY RESOURCES(spin metal, spirit bloom, relic iron, helium filaments) :
these would have no stack limit and be added to the top bar in the inventory screen next to the glimmer and legendary marks.
- the extra items like shards(ascendant, radiant, exotic and moldering) cores, tokens, keys, flakes, and runes will be added with a drop down box from the top tool bar to check amount with no stack limit excluding the limit of 5 for prison of elders keys.
- WEAPON TELEMETRY, SPARROW DRIVES, HOLIDAY ITEMS, AND GLIMMER BONUSES :
to solve weapon telemetry its as simple as making them only 3 types instead of multiple(primary, special, and heavy telemetry) then make them have no stack limit and move them to the right side of the players inventory screen for all character to use.(taking older telemetry to gunsmith would allow equal trade for a simplified version of a telemetry)
- glimmer bonuses (ether seeds, blue polyphage, black wax idols, and resupply codes) would be moved to the right hand portion of the player inventory screen near the telemetry as to not interfere with the ammo on the opposite side.
there you have it shrink or remove the need for a managed inventory, take some items like the crux or crota and move it in the mission section, same goes for other mission or weapon based quest items. and now the RAM has been spared every time some one need to find something in the vault it will be of gear or vanity items and not priority items like ammo or consumables.
