Epic ideas the best part of gaming in a open world shooter like destiny is pve is over powered because you earned the gear to be a demi god. I have played w.o.w and guild wars 1 and 2 as well as many others and the grind always has reward not just oh sorry but pvp cried so instead of fixing that aspect were going to screw pve hard to make pvp happy.
I played zero pvp in year one and I had it at launch on 360 so don't start on profile play time stats. Yes it was a murderous glitch ridden monster but it was at least enjoyable.
Now I play for one reason the friends I have made and my clan mates be it pve or pvp it don't matter. Are guns over powered in either sure they are guns people I shot you in the face with a havoc in the real world you won't be moving for long. That gun as well as all quote Unquote side arms are at best 22 cal. Most hit like a bb gun.
if your putting a attack level on a gun guess what in pvp it should hit at that level. My taloc hitting head shots only feeds back a damage in the range of 20 is a joke. For a gun that hits a elemental shielded enemy in the 600 to a thousand range hmm.
I hope I'm not the only one that sees the issue with that. For those pvp try hards who are always in the cry posts if you don't want to get ripped open by super cell and think it's op well call of duty waits for you don't let the door hit you on the way out
we are not here for cod we are here for a Sci Fi shooter that breaks reality. The pve end game needs the most help pvp is pvp leave that horse in the stable. This last event was decorated like a wedding more than a holiday event. A white carpet to the vanguard covered in rose pedals is right out if a brides guide to a perfect wedding atmosphere book.
As for pve the suggestions are on the mark should you be limited in exotic gear equipped hell no you earned it you should not be limited in its use. It's a class of gear plan and simple. As for guns in general I'll say this stability should not be a factor if your stats are mainly auto rifle, sniper, machine gun then you have built the arm strength to hold those guns dead still you won't see a marine spraying rounds all over a area with a ak-47 or m16 why are we doing it with the in game equivalents. This is for all weapons you use them all the time the recoil disappears. I have a 10 Guage shotgun a 50 cal desert eagle and a number of sniper rifles in real life and you know what they don't recoil the barrel at my face in fact they don't move but a inch or two from where they started. If guardians are ancient warriors resurrected for a new war they would be able to adapt the same way and it's not a huge request to adapt it to a in game world.
Armor well at the current status is more like a dress up only. There is no one that can say armor matters as I'm fresh off trials with nearly all 320 armor I can say for sure that stat means nothing at all its a feel good illusion nothing more. If you are boasting a 93 out of 100 armor rating the only thing that should be doing damage to your body area is a sniper rifle. Or a 70 cal canon round. Rockets are a joke in this age of destiny they have one use in pve raid and that's ad control on only a few spots.
Ammo reserves are the next issue to be addressed as 18 sniper rounds vs 200 side arm rounds is nonsense do the math for that many clips at say 15 rounds a clip you should be carrying nearly 300 sniper or shot gun rounds. Fusion rifles well feed idea but since I have the hard raid and exotic ones I can say this shot count to damage rate for a laser rifle is messed up sideways one battery of the size we are seeing ok n these guns should be good for 15 shots or more at the current damage rate. The sleeper is excluded from this class type for now as it's a different weapon all together it's not a fusion rifle at all its a laser cannon get it right. It can stay at 9 to whatever shots but once again load size of machine guns is nearly 400 rounds in 40 round casket mags that's way more space than a few battery clips that are nearly the same size as fusion rifle battery packs so balance the carry limit to account for how much you can hold. I'll remind you all this is pve specific not pvp.
