The last post I put up was regarding my dismay at the RNG light leveling system, and that I knew it would be an almost futile struggle to get to light level 320. Now here we are, 4-5 months later, challenge mode has dropped, and here I sit, with 3 characters at 319 and zero end in sight. All 3 are waiting on a class item. This is VOG all over again, waiting on one piece of gear to get max level. Except in this scenario the statistical chance is so far out of your favor, it may as well be winning the lottery. For some unknown reason the dev team can not seem to wrap their heads around this concept, that the closer you get to 320 the chance to get a piece that is worthwhile becomes smaller and smaller. It used to be that once you had the gear, that was it, you were max level. Now you have to PRAY for that RNG 320 ghost or class item to drop. If it doesnt then its like bungie is saying " oh so sorry too bad try again ". Maybe that is what destiny and the team is going for, maybe this game is just one big troll. I said it before and I will say it again, Destiny has such promise and has captivated myself and so many others for so long, it is maddening to see so many things wasted in the game. I no longer care about 90% of the content in the game because nothing relevant comes from it. If there could be some sort of scaling to boost old raids and content to the current light level it would be AWESOME, and bring the old weapons along with them. This is the only game I have ever played where weapons that were that exclusive and difficult to obtain became completely worthless. Bungie could easily update old content to the newest light level as part of the taken king DLC so that it didnt affect people strictly playing year one, but they wont, because theyd rather spend time on emotes and shit to get you to spend real money. Not me Bungie, and more guardians are following suit now than ever before. I'll still come around here and there, but I couldn't care less about "becoming legend" because bungie seems totally uninvested in helping me get there.
