Crimson Doubles was fun, if you make it fun (warning - sweary)
We're just a (below) average team, playing for fun, and keeping the salt to a minimum.

This seems to be a commonly recurring theme with Destiny, it's only fun if we, the players, go out of our way to make this shit interesting in the slightest.

"That - that may have come out a bit wrong.. er..." That bit had me dying omg. Crimson Doubles was the most fun when I went semi-farming with a friend. Because instead of worrying about getting kills or wins to finish bounties, we just went in prepared to die. Lol. After handing over a match to some guys - we matched with them again. To our surprise, they [i]traded[/i] with us - giving us the win by jumping off the map themselves. It was a neat surprise. Cheers to those guys. I got a message from some guy during a match, asking if he could at least get some precision kills since we were just killing ourselves anyway. So I ran into the plain view and waited for him to come up & get the shot. My friend just sat back in the spawn for him. We matched against some other farmers, three times in a row. So we got a pleasant break from offing ourselves. It was so chill. I even put on my Crota mask for a bit & tried to find the ugliest combination of gear I could, just for the people who like to inspect their competition before the match, lol.

1 ReplyYou know, i think I actually found my best friend on Destiny via Crimson Doubles. Japanese girl, but she is mute. Yet for some reason, we play really well together; we rocked Doubles pretty damned well.

2 RepliesI enjoyed crimson doubles for the gameplay. I am assuming it had SBMM since most of the games were very close. So glad they didn't get rid of SBMM. The rewards left much to be desired. I completed all the bounties for each of my characters, which took some time since I am not very good. Well after hours of playing this all I have to show for it is a couple of shaders and some lame emotes. I didn't get any ghost drops at all. I was hoping for a 320 ghost, but realized the chances of getting one was very low. But to get absolutely nothing! A total waste of time. I will more than likely stay away from events like this in the future. Just not worth it to waste hours of time to come away empty handed.

So in Crimson Doubles how and the heck is a team able to get super charge at the beginning of the 2nd round, With 14 seconds of the 2nd round the warlock at a super and the hunter had a bow super WTF. How is that possible? Freaking Stupid...

I suck at trials. It was great to play an elimination game where we won many more than we lost. It was real good fun too

1 ReplyI wasn't even gonna touch CD.....just not real great at PvP and didn't feel like grinding for a Ghost. Bungie offering a 320 Ghost for 7 games though changed my mind. Even if it will be obsolete in a little while. I said "-blam!- it" and busted out my Thorn, Mytho, Chasm, Messenger, Summoner, Benevolence and Found Verdict. I just switched guns each game. Reliving some of the old glory days. It was a good time. I'm sure some of my opponents went "WTF?" when a Mytho burned them down, inaccurate as it is now, or the Chasm and its explosion. I never really liked Thorn but it was useful for knocking out the Hand Cannon portion of the CD bounty

2 RepliesA great time playing, love seeing people pull out the year one guns, or just using shitty random weapons for a change. Was using the auto rifle that is given in the first mission for a round or two.

5 RepliesPeople dont like Crimson Doubles because they're sitting there with their snipers and thorns and wondering why the game isn't fun, using the same lame ass load outs. Use Monte Carlo, use Hardlight, use something else..

2 RepliesI completely agree.. I avoided trials due to not being too good at pvp. I found Crimson Doubles not stressful and fun. Afterwards I went to do trials with some friends and for the first time I actually enjoyed it..

Didn't think that i would like it, a 2 man ToO... Uugghh.. Then i played, loved it, no sniper/shotgun just rush in and duke it out, hope this gets into the rotation, maybe make different buffs each time, like sidearm does +20%, then next time melee does +20%, etc.
