For people who think Sunsingers need a nerf....

According to this chart which I stole from Guardian.gg, Sunsingers have the second lowest KDR, which is equal to Nighstalkers. While Bladedancers have the highest KDR, gunslinger coming in second. If it was really overpowered, people would be doing amazing with it and the KDR would be much higher. What this means is that the abilities are not strong enough to override skill, and therefore, not overpowered. Edit: the purpose of the chart is not to call anything OP. All the stats are within 0.10, which is not that big of a difference. The actual KDR value of sunsinger is 1.01 while bladedancer is 1.11. All the classes are essentially equal. NOTHING needs a nerf.

    • Lol lowest kd because ots a cheap class for scrubs who need an extra life and op grenades. Not to mention a one hit melee. This thread proves nothing.

    • Class k/d is a bad way to balance things off. Nightstalker, bladedancer, and gunslinger have high k/d's because the higher skill players stick with them and don't jump around like the lower skilled, players who judge a class purely off the super.

        You notice how all of the meta classes have worse K/Ds than classes not talked or complained about? It's because the skilled players find a subclass that fits their playstyle, fights through the balance, and doesn't switch to others for an advantage.

          • imo i dont see why the k/d chart is so low but anyway sunsinger just isnt as effective super as gg or striker so they need a near op melee and grenade to balance is

            According to this chart (also from guardian.gg by the way), sunsinger warlocks have a higher win % than any other subclass in trials. [spoiler]Not saying anything should be nerfed but you might want to have a bit more info[/spoiler] & it's a bit biased to compare sunsinger kd to that of any other subclass because they essentially have more lives due to fireborn which leads to more deaths than other subclasses.

              The reason for that also is revive sniping Which means warlocks will die more because they get a 2nd life and no one else does

              They should do what they did with thorn , they need the damage taken from 7 to somewhere around 3-5 doesn't make the grenade utterly useless because duration is the problem but you can't get rid of that because that would make one perk useless

            • While I agree that nothing needs a nerf, the fact of the matter is, one of the reasons that Sunbreaker got nerfed was because they want all subclasses to be around 1 KD ratio. Sunbreaker having a 1.06 was too high, with bungie logic the ne next 2 subclasses on the chopping block are Gunslinger and blade dancer. Which is total crap if you ask me because while I may not be the greatest player I still like challenge each subclass brings to the table when fighting them in pvp.

              • Okay I would believe your chart once I saw the date this was made and the fact that Hunters outnumber every other class. So seeing a chart on kill count wouldn't make sense. But on kill percentages and K/D percentage would.

                  You're actually stupid. In essence, the interpretation of this graph is so far independent of what is op and what needs a nerf, they do don't correlate at all. This graph just mean those who use hunters have a better kd because they either camp etc or they are literally better players (can hold decent kds consistently) lol

                  • There are exceptions to every class. However the only problem I have with sunsingers are the firwbolts with viking funeral. Not only can you not heal, but you get burned almost to death. One tap. But if you are a low light level in trials or iron banner, you're dead. Other than that I think its a solid class
