Is it still noble if there's a financial transaction involved? Just wondering if this at all changes your position?
To be very honest, I don't give a shit if someone wants to buy their way to the lighthouse. Bungie might care, I do not. But yes, it does change the entire context.
I play the game for fun and a sense of personal accomplishment. Not saying this should be the case for everyone but it is for me and as such have little respect for those boasting of their flawless thanks to a carry.
I got carried through VoG the first few times I tried it. There shouldn't be any boasting if someone knows they got carried. But, once again, I don't give a shit. A person who got carried and boasts about it will soon have their attitude adjusted by the people on these forums.
Some don't even have to be at the controls, they just give the "sherpa" access to their account for a few hours.
Once again, I just don't care. If the sherpas are strong enough to play 2v3 and win then they weren't going to be stopped anyway. How other people play this game doesn't concern me. The agreements reached between consenting parties in the matters of legal things isn't anyone's business or concern.
People get butthurt when they hear others got "carried" because they few their effort as more "true." The reality is, we are here to have fun, if sherpas enjoy carrying people then that's what they should do. If more people are enjoying more of the content they paid for, then great. As long as no one is cheating, I do not care how anyone gets to the Lighthouse.
