I send 2 types of messages.
1. I inform redbarring players in crucible they've been reported.
2. I let good teams and players know I appreciated a true beat down over the cheating BS you see so often lately.
I'm never a douche about it, but because they supposedly "ban" people with connection issues, I want those that are red barring to know about the report. Less idiots on the forum going "Waaaaah why have I been baaaaaanned, waaaaa!!"
Cause that shit's pathetic. You know why you got banned, bitch, don't lie.

Dude, I'm not trying to hate or whatever, just want to be helpful and constructive here. A red bar connection is often not the player's fault at all. The connection quality is a measurement of how fast their connection is to every other player, including you. So let's say matchmaking pairs you with 10 players from your own city, 5 on your team, 5 on the other. The last guy is playing from another region. You're the host, and this guy from out of town is lagging with a red bar. It could very well be that your connection is the problem, because he is having trouble sending/receiving data to your console, the host machine. Sure, you may not have much lag between you and everyone else because you live close together, so your crap connection doesn't matter. But this other guy who is lagging has a state of the art setup at his house. And now you've just reported him. And it's not his fault. Think about that. I'm not saying you have a bad connection or that any of that is true for you. I'm just saying lag is WAY more complicated than, "Mr. Red Bar must have a terrible internet connection or he's cheating." There are a lot of other factors that no one person has any control over. My point is, nobody deserves to be reported, much less banned over having a red bar. That can change from match to match, and nobody can do much about it. I seriously doubt Bungie or Microsoft will do anything about these people you report, because I'm confident they can tell the difference between normal lag issues and cheating. But in the off chance that your report caused someone to get banned unfairly... That's awful. You just ruined someone's gaming experience that they paid $60-150 to enjoy.
