So, would you disapprove of the idea that the Earth is over 10,000 years old, OP?
It's kinda obvious that the Universe is way older than just 10,000 years old.
Is this supposed to be a bait thread or what?
It is directed towards a small but existent minority (I honestly think about 6% of #offtopic) who actually believe the Earth is around 10,000 years old

I'm still trying to make sense of this. In your post, are trying to provide proof that supports the idea that the universe is older than 10,000 years or are you trying to support the opposite?

I am trying to show evidence that proves the Earth cannot be 10,000 years old.

Edited by MS18EKampferMG: 1/31/2016 5:07:05 AMThings that should be considered: Sir Charles Lyell's evidence of Stratification Law of Superposition
There's plenty of evidence in the world that supports the idea that the Earth is older than ten thousand years old. Of course, lots of differing pieces of evidence must be considered, but I can say with 100% that I believe that the Earth itself is older than just 10,000 years, thus the universe itself is even older. Just for the sake of your post's argument, how old would you believe that the Earth itself is and, consequentially, how supposedly old the universe is?
I believe the Earth is about 4.54 billion years old and the universe is about 13.8 billion years old
