Survival: A PvE Crucible mode idea.

I'm thinking Destiny needs more PvE content for SOLO players; people who prefer to play by themselves. Currently, the only real offering is Story missions, but they tend to be short and all too easy. So, I had an idea for a new Crucible mode that would use all of the existing maps, and pit a single player against hordes of enemies for the same rewards you'd get from a regular Crucible playlist. Enter Survival mode. Don't anyone bring up Prison of Elders; it only has one map and the rewards have been worthless since The Taken King dropped. Also, this would be intended for solo players, where as Prison of Elder is designed as a cooperative activity like Strikes. * * * Survival - Test yourself against the minions of the Darkness. As always, you'd have commentary provided by Lord Shaxx. Once a wave begins, enemies (up to 36 per round) are dropped onto the map; sometimes they come via dropships like the Fallen Skiff and Hive Tombship, other times they emerge from normally sealed doorways leading off the map. The game progresses just like Firefight in the Halo games; there are 5 Waves per Round, and 3 Rounds per Set. The game ends after 1 Set... or when you run out of lives. The longer you survive, and the more lives you have left by the end, the better your post-game rewards (which can include Legendary weapons and armor), and the more Crucible rep you earn as well. To make sure things are challenging for a single Guardian, all enemies are Level 42; and like with Firefight, you would have difficulty modifiers that activate for each Round. Big vehicle maps like First Light, Bastion, and Skyshock would be included in the rotation, and allow you to take full advantage of combat vehicles like the Pike, Interceptor, Turret, and even the Heavy Pike, all of which would respawn at the end of each Round. These maps would also pit you against bigger enemies like Fallen Walkers and Goliath Tanks.

 • I've always right they should do this. Format similar to trials. 2 teams head to head obviously. Run a strike, first team done wins and moves on...unless the second team finished within say 10 seconds. Then sudden death 3v3, no revives. In a battle done type deal. Probably better go no supers but it won't happen so details aren't important.
