Bungie. Hear me out. (Content of Destiny)

Now. I know that over the last year pretty much everyone has posted and reposted the same things. With the desire of being heard. And more specifically..seeing the actual changes in effect. We also know, that other than nerfs, buffs, and PvP adjustments. Not a whole lot has been done. Most of the patches in Destiny are simply connectivity, glitched icons, rewards not dropping etc. And still...those problems haven't really left us, they've more just been put into hiding. But i'd like to see some really big changes, and with Bungie going through some change in management..maybe this is the chance at Destiny's redemption. The smartest thing in my opinion, that Bungie could do right now to win back the hearts of us Destiny fans. Is to ease off on the PvP balancing, nerfing, etc. Although i am very supportive of the lag and connection patch ideas. And hope that it actually works. As for crucible, as a whole. It needs to be placed second, after the PvE aspect of the game. After all, this isn't CoD. It's supposed to be a MMORPG is it not? That's what I remember anyway. Crucible is fun at times for sure. And of course, a lot of the Destiny players prefer PvP. But that doesn't mean change what the game was designed to be. If this game is to pick up again, which honestly it still can. Lets focus on PvE. The most talked about issue in PvE that I've seen, is taking away content. And I get it. It would be a lot of content to hold onto at this point. And Bungie would like us to use new armor and weapons. Thats fair. But the fact that we did pay for the other DLC's makes it seem like we wasted our money for temporary content. Which we did. Sure we all want to see things progress, use new toys to create our stories. But forcing the player to abandon their beloved toys in order to do that is unfair. We would have moved on to newer and bigger weapons by choice, if we'd have been given the choice. Gradually finding different strategies and abilities that worked towards the changing world around us. But instead, we were told to drop everything and start over. Blue and Green coded weapons were better than all our legendaries and exotics within seconds of entering the year 2 TTK world of Destiny. Something that never really made sense to me. There could have been ways to allow upgrading our year 1 items, even just some of them. You wanted to rid the game of burn primaries, I get that too. So why not remove the burns from our guns, modify some perks for more balanced play. And allow infusion on our weapons that we payed for. The environment that we play in, and fight for. Is also something that is very important to the game (obviously). The original patrol maps were fun, although lacking. But now, we were given a new location to play around on. Which was good. And Bungie did a good job at filling the Dreadnaught with little secrets and quests that were absolutely fun to explore. And I will give credit, where credit is due. But one thing that I noticed, was once again. No replay ability on this patrol either. It definitely stayed interesting longer than any other patrol map. However its size is something to be a little unsatisfied with. It could've been riddled with little secret passage ways between each section, some connecting to more secret rooms with enemies, and some leading above or below the current map. A multi leveled patrol just like the Moon. Something that would have given it a more Hive-like feeling. But this isn't the change I expect to see. Although it would be nice. While I discuss patrol. I want to focus more on the content of all patrols, more than a specific location. Now as we know, a lot of players wanted to see a new enemy. And the Taken were our new addition. That being said. They were more just the same enemies in a less colorful skin, and more BS abilities. However, as I said with credit. They were fun, and a thrilling addition to the game. Forcing players to take alternative strategies to find victory. Thing is. They were added to patrol. Just as the Blades of Crota, and Prowling Wolves. So come next content. We lose our events once again. Just to relearn everything again. And come to the same problem...again. Now, heres my theory. Wouldn't it be an absolute blast..if each of those events, had a chance at spawning in? Patrolling the Divide at the Cosmo, and a Blade of Crota shows up. Maybe alongside some Hive AND Taken enemies now. After finishing them off, getting to play with the super sword again for a little bit. A little later you're at Skywatch, and a pack of Wolves is stirring up the Hive. And finally, a bit later... the Taken corrupt the land in the Rocketyard. Content we all payed for, content we all loved. Brought back, and without sabotaging the new story, the new content. This allows the year one players to continue to enjoy everything we payed for. While still allowing the new year 2's to focus on just the new stuff they bought. While we are on the topic of patrol though. I'd like to bring up the patrol itself. We unfortunately are playing the same patrol bounties, and some patrol beacons as year one. With slight changes. But I'd like to see more difficult bounties and patrol waypoints. Instead of killing 10 enemies for New Monarchy. Why not 100. With a reward of extra spinmetal or a handful of motes or coins. Hell. I'd be happy seeing weapon parts or armor materials as little bonus rewards. For the longer vanguard bounties, make it a legendary engram. Focus on a system similar to Shaxx's weekly bounties. Finish all 5 in a week and get a reward. But instead. make it 10 or 15 bounties in a week. And receive an engram or weapon. some motes or coins. Maybe even 10 of every upgrade material. Helium, blooms, etc. Something that makes patrol worthwhile again. I'll be honest, I miss getting my 2 other members together, and doing our bounties to level our stuff up. Which brings me to a new point. The new level and light system is fine. I like it..more or less. But it's not such a big issue. What is an issue..dropping weapons and armor with the light at a peak. What happened to working through a raid to get some gear, then getting to spend a few days playing patrol, grinding to level it up so your light was maxed. Gearing up and doing Crucible for the last little upgrade. That is what made this game so playable. Sure, same as any other game, it was repetitive. But isn't it now? This system of leveling up your gear gave Guardians the chance to have a purpose at completing bounties, a purpose to clearing hordes of enemies for hours on each planet. These moments in the past, were some of our most fun memories. Now we aimlessly complete bounties here and there. Or worse, use motes to level everything up in 2 seconds. So I beg of you, Bungie. Please bring back required to upgrade gear. That will unkill this game pretty quick. I can assure you. In addition to patrol, one last note. I, as well as most players I've talked with. Think that we should be getting a second patrol map on each planet. Same materials. Same patrol beacons. But new places to explore. On Earth, clearing out enemies in and out of buildings and subway stations in Paris. Slowly walking through rubble filled streets checking your corners. With the Eiffel Tower broken and bent in the background. On Venus, a lush, marshy forest, filled with tons of Vex, occasional fallen. Cool caverns to explore, with actual chances of finding loot in them. Add a Court of Oryx type event near a massive Vex Conflux in the jungles. But have them more random. Again, things that players could appreciate. Same worlds, but new locations. Bungie, this is what people have told me they want. And maybe, they've told you, and perhaps it's something your doing...Or ignoring. Either way. I'm saying it now. And as a gamer. It's absolutely what I'd like to see. Now. Moving away from patrol. But staying on a similar note to the rest of this long post. I keep seeing people asking for the old raids and PoE to be brought back. Again, Bungie. I'm going to say it. We payed for it. And we want our money to be worthwhile. So here's what I think. You want us to play with new toys, toss the old shi...stuff. So let's see VoG and Crota back in the fight. optional levels at 240, 280, 300, etc. With better drops of shards/energy..because they can still be used for glimmer. But give us some modified raid gear. Nothing wrong with giving us a new VoG Vision of Confluence at 280. Able to infuse. Keep its oracle damage perk, that wont make it OP. Let it drop a new ship, more glasslike but same style. What I'm saying. Is keep your old content a part of this game. It's what the fans want. And what the fans want should be the most important thing. We all know we can't have everything. No matter how much we complain, we are/were grateful for the game we were given. But now simply feel like it was taken away. I truly love this game, and I keep coming back no matter what, so it obviously has potential. But it is getting to the point where I'm losing interest. I have 3 accounts, each with 3 characters. So I am dedicated to the game for sure. No BS. But like I said, I'm losing it. Losing the love. So lets see that old stuff returned. At least a portion. So there it is. These are some points that I truly stand by. And I truly believe that if they are implemented, even just a bit...you will see a positive outcome. Yes, it can be hard work, yes it takes time..but the players count on you to deliver to them a great game. An ever expanding universe in which we can dominate together. Please hear me out on this, and do everything you can to satisfy our desires. I'm here to help the best I can. We all are. Please comment, Bungie. So I know you're listening, or at least seeing what I have to say. Thanks. I do appreciate it.

 • I really would like old content back, even if they tried to milk us for $10 to play the new versions of the raids and PoE. I still go back to PoE sometimes to use year 1 weapons and armour. I wonder why they'd not even allow us to play our old content for decent rewards. We should use a bunch of year 1 gear in crucible, as that seems what they are keeping an eye on right now, and hopefully they will notice these points that you've made using Crota raid gear in crucible and VoG gear and PoE gear whatever you like.
yes our stuff was just taken away from us by taken
• You're asking them to give us value for our money? Lol, these are the same guys that charged us 80 bucks to rebuy the base game and all the dlc in order to get exclusive content.
