Yeah so one shot by thorn wth!
Think about how far your frame rates are behind if you're only seeing one shot. There is so much latency you can't even see the first two. In really bad matches you may even drop dead without even seeing yourself get shot

Lol,that actually happened to me today. Says I was killed by fusion grenade and I just spawned. Didn't even know I got stuck
it's not you, it's the host. this game operates on p2p so someone is hosting and we all connect to him. if people live close to that guy it plays fine. if however the host is in the UK and you're in california there will be such a delay in timing that you won't even see the first shot or two on your screen. demonware which is what bungie uses tries to compensate for this but can only do so much when you have low bandwidth players that create lag spikes with every movement. this is also why weird stuff happens the most often when multiple people are in a firefight. more data is being transmitted
games like black ops 3 only concentrate on ping timing for the best play, that game also is setup better network wise for pvp. in destiny they have this skill based crap which means if no one local is in your bracket you go across the planet
yes, rather than match you with people in your own area this game has been grabbing people from all over the globe creating the very problems we have been encountering
