Consider this.
Next time you go into any activity, you cannot die. I treat the first person view as a true simulator. It forces me to be cautious. To utilize cover as I creep through a hallway or corridor. Big open spaces are suspect. I watch all my corners. I concern myself with extreme situational and environmental awareness. It's more SOCOM then RAMBO. You'll find critical shots become crucial to survival. Properly used grenades and supers mean the difference between life and that death. It's role playing for me and it has improved my gaming considerably. Once you get into it nightfalls become a challenge worthy of completion and completion becomes the reward (cause ghost shells suck). You may even get lucky and find others with the same mindset. Then tactics, strategy, and communication take on a whole new level.
Just don't become psychotic and forget it's a game... Only a game... Hmmmmm

Old BCNiSS didn't always play with caution. Perhaps fighting sweaties online has improved his survivability :)
