Elo is determined by people you kill. The more people you kill that are at higher Elo ranking than you the more points you accumulate to go higher in ranking. So no.

It's determined by wins not kills.
-
It's hard to earn kills when you're constantly 1v3'd because of bad teammates. Playing with stronger people really does raise your elo. Kill-steals count as long as you're fast on the trigger. 1k stare bodyshots deal unfair damage.
-
I was under the impression that it was wins. And that I have beaten high ranking players only to gain 1 or 2 points. And when I say beat, I am leading the whole game with kills. So I still believe it's about wins.
-
I would get behind that but my friend and i play together constantly and we have about the same wins in skirmish but my Elo is still way higher than hers. Like platinum vs silver higher.
-
That's a big difference. But maybe she plays without you and loses here elo from there.
-
it is about wins, but depends on the elo rating of your competition
