I just realized that it's possible that the Traveler didn't terraform Fundament, and that the worms did. It would be in their best interest, given that they are the ones who pulled all kinds of living things to Fundament in hopes that a species would eventually free them. They have the ability to negate the crushing pressure and heat of a gas giant's core by merely willing it, so it's conceivable that they could make the whole thing habitable.

Do you have a theory on the black garden? You think it was just a source of darkness? Or is the black garden more something to do with the traveler? She was referred to as the gardener (by rasputin?) and also one of the cards says something about gardeners of bronze bodies... Vex? Possibly the traveler uses the black garden for some purpose and used the vex to tend to it but the vex invaded oryx's throne world and they learned the ways of the hive and darkness and worship and this corrupted them and tainted the garden? Sorry I can't give all the cards this came from, trying to do this quickly off memory.

Edited by KAGEHOSHI-: 1/16/2016 3:52:55 AMVex are definitely bronze gardeners, and they are from the Black Garden, and I found the card you were talking about. The Traveler does seem to get called a gardener as well. I don't have a theory yet, but I might work on one. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. It seems like the Vex might have taken the Black Garden from the Traveler.

I think the black garden is the originator of life

It's possible that Rasputin calls The Traveler a gardener just for bringing up life.

That is true, though the mention of the Black Garden in the card makes me suspect a connection.

In the concept The Black Garden, or a place similar, had a spherical shape to it. People either suspected that it was in The Traveler or it was The Travelerers resting place. Going off by the thought of Mars being the first planet to be terraformed in our Solar System...The Black Garden, if made by The Traveler, could be a local resting place...like a fall back to heal sort of thing. There's also that plateau off in the distance that is heavily lit up with light. The Light might be from the surface of Mars or from another point of origin. The Black Gardens entrance is stuck to Mars (Not referring to The Gate in Valley of the Kings)...The Black Garden itself could be in another location entirely.
