As a Main Warlock I will voice my opinion
1) I die still very easily in Stormcaller, I honestly say despite what all other posts lie about, you will not survive a headshot from any sniper at FULL HEALTH no matter how much you think you do.
2) I could care less about Landfall. I'd rather use Ionic blink and another Exotic instead of Impossible Machines. I prefer Voidfang Vestments for grenade spawning.
3) Hunters and Titans the only way Stormcaller lasts a long time is because of Transcendence,
Hunters and Titans each have mobile supers with health regen upon a kill. Warlocks do not.
4) Stop calling for Nerfs people...... Haven't you seen what has happened to an already overly nerfed game.. Just find something that works for you and stick to it. I use probably the most underwhelming Sunsinger with the even more underwhelming Radiant Skin and made it work.
Just play the game

Edited by Jake of Trades: 3/13/2016 5:40:29 AMGolden gun and hammers one shot anything. Also, I've had it where people refused to let me join groups because I was a warlock.

I enjoy stormcaller in pvp. We aren't op.
-
You are the man dude
-
Noice a post I agree wit
-
OH MY GOD. A FRIEND, IN THIS MAZE OF A SALT MINE
-
They overnerfed HoS, Arc Blade and Radiance, all HoS needed was a Damage Resistance reduction and a 2 second cool down on cauterize, Arc Blade needs a slight damage resistance buff, and Radiance needs its recharge rates back and it would be fine.
-
The only thing that can kill me in stormtrance is a nova bomb or FoH. You can literally react to a shadowshot and blink past it. There's a huge learning curve to stormtrance you gotta get used to ionic blink and learn how to use it properly with focused burst. But once you do you're unstoppable. Landfall is overrated. You don't need it and it puts yourself at risk. Activate your super from safety where you'll still be at full health after the animation. The super is way too good and IMO was better than HoS pre nerf, but like I said there's a learning curve so its not as dominate, but the potential is there.

Day 1 warlock and still prefer void for raid and pvp..strikes and patrol I like to use storm trance.for the people complaining about being spawn killed by storm trance just run out the spawn timer.
-
I prefer void walker......the storm caller is cool in pve....in certai situations....the grenades are awesome and the warlock for some reason jumps higher when using the storm caller sub class....but other than that the rumor buff isn't strong enough when your super is active
-
I have shot gunned melee killed them on many occasions look up my captures
-
Shit is broken. Why it lasts so long idk. But everything else about the class is shit. So that's all it really has going for it
-
I actually still prefer my Voidwalker over Stormcaller tbh. Love my Obsidian Mind :)
-
Nerf stormcaller Bungie

Edited by a-Cir: 1/12/2016 2:22:56 AMOnly thing I dislike about Stormcaller is its ability to wipe an entire team. You don't even have to be good with a Warlock, the chain effect takes care of everything. You just gotta make sure you stay mobile and out of shotgun range and you've got yourself 6 kills. I've done it twice and I've survived both times. Id upload the videos if I could but I'm on mobile :/ They were really awesome kills too
-
Transcendence needs a duration nerf
-
It's meh. I used it in the beginning. The novelty has worn off. I still use radiant skin. Awesome dps tank build.
-
Players can avoid Stormcaller super if they get out of line of sight. I have had Hunters and warlocks blink out of the effect and shotgun kill me. Players have to play smart. If you hear lightning coming don't stand there and get cooked.
-
Its op bro. However you are still very vulnerable as the warlock. Squishy but powerful = balance

Edited by THE_UNFORGIBABLE: 1/11/2016 7:38:29 PMNerf the s... out off stormcaller that way destiny can die faster. This is coming from a warlock main. This way bungie can regret all the nerfs that they have made since launch
-
It's only good in pvp, or for breaking arc shields. There's just to much duration, my only qualm. I often end up spraying into a corner to make my super go down quicker because it's taking to long to go away.

Edited by SealTheDeal: 1/11/2016 7:01:45 PMHunter main, but started as a Warlock. I have no problem with Stormtrance. I feel people now don't bother trying to counter it. When I die to Stormtrance, I don't want it nerfed. I'm just like "sh!t, I should find a way to counter that." I'm sick of pointless nerfs just because someone couldn't counter another player. I'm terrible at Crucible, but I see that there isn't a problem with it. Maybe Landfall, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Stop the damn nerfs and fix sunbreaker and bladedancer already! I'm a warlock main since y1 and sad those subclasses are now broken :(
-
Edited by Richie: 1/11/2016 12:32:48 PMI main a Warlock since the Alpha, Beta & Day 1. In fact back in Y1 I had 3 Warlocks, then I decided to go with all 3 classes for the new subclasses, but now I want my 3 Warlocks back, so moving forward into the rest of Y2 I'm gonna have 3 Warlocks again. Anyway for casual PvP I like to run Stormcaller. I love the subclass it's just an amazing subclass although I'm not much of a fan of the grenades. I prefer Landfall over anything else because it's easy and also hilarious to mid air shut down people, epesicially when they use their super. I've mid air Landfalled a Golden Gun, Bladedancer, Sunbreaker, Sunsinger. It's satisfying af to Landfall a Bladedancer mid air. And also how long the actual super lasts is based upon the build of the subclass. My Stormtrance can last about the same time as a Sunbreaker, just minis the health regen. Now in more competitive modes like Trials, Elimination, Skirmish I like to run Sunsinger mainly for Self Res and also Fire Bolt grenades. But honestly I don't see Stormcaller being OP aside from maybe Landfall. Def not as OP as Sunbreaker. That subclass is still OP af even with the nerf.
-
Warlock main here. Like the stormcaller but prefer to run a "no super" build with him utilizing the tlaloc plus almost unlimited grenades with perpetual charge. Use apotheosis veil for health regen without having to have your grenade and melee charge. Beastly
-
that's why people are leaving this game to many nerf
-
yea -blam!-in cry pvp
