I started playing this game just recently, and one of my biggest complaints is that I can never view a map while I'm deployed. I really wish I had the ability to pull up a map, look around, and have the "your are here" arrow pictured.
Alright, I understand some people are opposed to having a map you can access while you are NOT in orbit (I.E. while patrolling Venus). Some people fell that it takes away from the "discovery" of the game.
What if they made a map that you could access during patrols/missions that required you to first discovery locations before you could view them? This would actually ENCOURAGE exploration! :)

Once you realize that every map is basically one big loop, you'll figure out where to go in no time.

Everyone said this at first but it's actually extremely easy to figure it all out if you pay attention to the world director. You can associate most of the areas with missions or just figure them out exploring. It gives you a sense of ownership over the areas when you go explore and learn it for yourself.

Edited by Reaper: 1/11/2016 11:23:02 AMThe levels are a circle. Quite literally a damned circle with a few off shoots. Do you live in a town with one street or.....? O_o But I agree with you, when those location specific bounties first came out my reaction was "Where the fcuk is that??" even though I knew the levels like the back of my hand, I wasn't intrigued enough to find out the names of the areas.

early on in playing the game it would definitely be an asset, also make it easier to learn the names and locations of the areas
