4. Oops - Obadiah - Warlock

4. Oops - Obadiah - Warlock The halls smelled horrible and going left seemed like a terrible choice. He never thought it would smell this bad down here. At least there were some lights every so often. Many times he imagined himself going on missions and patrols. It was supposed to be glamorous. Yet this was also expected. A guardians life isn't easy and he knew it in the back of his head. It took him a while to realize he wasn't focusing. Fantastic. "Finn, I think we got separated from the fireteam.....Finn?", whispered Obadiah. Great how do you lose your ghost? He thought annoyed of how frequently this happened. He looked around. Darkness surrounded him. He felt a strange urge to run endlessly until he was home. Panic. He couldn't let it consume him. He kept walking in a crouched position. He then heard clicking and scratching. "Finn?", he called out. But he quickly wished he would've just stayed put or with the fireteam. Definitely the fireteam. Green eyes gleamed in the darkness. A sword gave out a sparks as the knight continued sharpening his sword on his arm. Thrall looked at the guardian. Their claws glowing ready to rip his light out. His stomach felt sick. His hands felt clammy as he tightened his grip on his gun. "Oops. I'm guessing you guys wont be showing me the way out?", asked Obadiah nervously. The knight roared and the thrall lunged. Obadiah took a step back and started spraying and praying. The recoil wasn't bad but his nerves made most of the bullets ricochet off the floor and walls. 'I have to keep my cool' he thought as he turned around and ran as fast as he could. He looked over his shoulder. He had at least 10 thrall chasing with the knight hard on his tail. He focused on his light as he threw a vortex grenade on the floor which slowly ripped away at they're body armor as they tripped to get out of the void bubble. His feet started aching as he ran. He jumped over a collapsed column and turned around using it as support. This time he had to kill as many as possible. His machine gun shot round after round surprisingly hitting most of the thrall. Once they got too close for comfort there were only 2 thrall and the knight. But before he could turn around and gain some distance he felt something jump on his back scratching at his helmet. He rolled, but the thrall held on and kept scratching. He didn't panic. The world slowed. All of a sudden his instincts kicked in. Thousands of scenarios ran through his head and he finally figured what he would do. He rolled over onto his feet. Jumped as far up as he could and as soon as he reached to top of the ceiling he pushed off with his back toward the floor smashing the thrall into bits. He rolled over and aimed for the charging knight but he had no gun in his hands. -blam!-. He rolled to the left. Dodging the blade by a split second. He lunged for the auto rifle but one of the thrall swiped it away. He rolled again but the blade met his left shin. Pain shot through but he caught his scream. He wouldn't give them that pleasure. He tried to pull his sniper over his head but there was only a strap. The sniper laid on the floor. Twisted from the slam. His leg reminded him of the pain when he tried getting up. The two thralls lunged at him tearing for his helmet. The knight roared and the thralls stepped back. He stared at the guardian and said something in his native tongue. His emerald eyes looked at him in a very unsatisfactory way. To him this was the end to a very boring battle. Obadiah felt the light surge through him reminding him he had a couple options open. He tightened his fist and rolled to the right hitting the thrall with his open palm sending him into the void. Before he could turn and look at the knight, a shot whizzed past him and into the Knights head. Then another through the thralls weak chest. He looked up and there stood a Warlock he'd never met before. Along with Finn. "There you are, you know Tervok is gonna be pissed you're out here gallivanting", sassed Finn. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Thank you so much to the guardians that send me feedback.
