Actually you are quite wrong. According to Microsoft, Bungie's servers are way out of date. They are spec'd to accommodate xb360/ps3 and notxbone/ps4. A network tech for Microsoft said the reason for all of the in game lag and connection issues is a direct result of Bungie running Destiny on antiquated hardware.

Their game engine is extremely old. I heard it can take up to 12hrs to load into a mal for patches.

Edited by wobbly_woofer: 1/5/2016 6:25:59 PMI remeber thats from a bungie tech panel and follow up interview at gdc (if im not mistaken). The engine is not outdated on the game mechanics and graphics capabilities (thats actually pretty decent) but it is royally -blam!-ed on the back end, taking ages to load stuff to move a single asset and whatnot, then taking a while to recompile and all, plus full of errors and enlingate the process. The engine is called umbra 3

Source?

A LFG guy that jumped in on our Raid run. We were experiencing some serious lag at sisters and one person lagged completely out n got booted to orbit. We were all bitching and blaming the party leader for crap internet. The random spoke up and said he's a network support tech for Microsoft. He explained that most internet connections 15mb or higher, WI-FI or not we're more than adequate. The problem lies in Bungie's outdated equipment.
-
>getting info from some random person you raided with Totally a credible source
-
First off, you really never know who you are playing next to. Secondly, I have no reason not to believe him. The general consensus is that Bungievision has alot of internal issues that are not being addressed. With all of the in game problems players experience, his explanation fits and makes a hell of alot more sense that your random console based gibberish.
-
Still not a credible source, yes you don't know who you are talking to. Thus supporting my earlier statement, like literally the odds of that guy telling the truth is slim. He's most likely some idiot that thinks he knows a lot but just goes with what he's told....which reminds me of a lot of people in this thread

Edited by REVIVE PHARMER: 1/5/2016 8:26:40 PMI find it entertaining that you cite Bungie as a "credible" source. Lol. They continually lie and I cite the latest autorifle "debacle" as evidence that Bungievision will tell players whatever they want to hear to keep them playing. Mr. Random player has no reason to lie or spread misinformation. Bungievision has millions of reasons. :)
-
The fact you'd trust some random person over the internet more then the company that made the game you play really tells me something alright
-
U must somehow be tied to the Bungievision revenue stream.
-
Oh yeah, I'm totally being paid to say this stuff
-
Lol. Or have a vested interest.
-
Also it seems you're new around these forums, so please stop being a lil cunt about the game and just play it please
-
What's it to you?
-
Omg. I just read ur previous post. Lol. I've been debating with a retard. Lmao. As you were retard!! Forget I even said anything.
-
Sir, I'll you know retardation isn't a laughing matter so please try to refrain from using that thank you
