I'm a man of fact. God isn't fact. He is belief. Fact is what is proven. Belief is a delusion.

yeah but why is it so wrong for people to believe in something that you dont? if people shove it down your throat then yeah sure have a dig back but not everything you can believe in is fact. if you believed in santa as a kid, thats not fact, yet you believed it. some people, like myself, believe in christianity and god because i simply want to be able to believe that there is something after death and somebody watching over me, and that my dead friends and family are in a better place, not infinite nothingness.

It's wrong because it's a delusion. It's wrong because since it's creation religion no matter how good it's intention has done nothing but create war so devastating that our wars now look like mere child's play. More lives were lost to religion than are saved. Even now the idea of fairy tales and gods ravage our minds and make us fight. Not saying religion itself is bad but what it does to humans is unfathomable. Christianity is itself has caused more war and bloodshed than any other religion in the world. No matter how good the intention religion is a sickness. A cancer created by humans too lazy to answer their questions. A 2000 year old book created by men who didn't know anything about the world around them with years upon years of misinterpretation and mistranslation. Important books were taken out even the book jesus wrote was taken out of the bible. All books removed were by the Vatican in the 13th century. Mary wrote a book that was taken out. Moses had 10 books not 5. To believe in god isn't completely wrong. I do have theories as to, if there were a big bang there had to be someone or something that set everything in motion. But religion has to end. Without religion we would be far more advanced as a species, more peaceful with one another, and there would be little reason for bloodshed. Even the wars we fight now are based in religion. So you tell me. After many countless lives lost to your fairy tale, can you honestly tell me that it is nothing more than a plague?

yes i can. dude i was raised catholic, i still am catholic, does that make me a bloodhungry psychopath? i dont like all the bad things religion has done as much as you dont like it, but it also brings some much needed answers to people who simply need something to think. because something to believe in, no matter how incredible or rubbish, might help someone sleep better at night. it might have held us back years with war and such, but at the end of the day, the bible or the Quran or whatever scripture doesnt give an order to start war, break up families and so forth. its the people who take that religion the wrong way that cause that. theres extremists in many of the major religions, so it might not have anything to do with the religion at all. maybe the wrong people are just buying into an idea to justify doing whatever they want in the name of a deity/deities. im not trying to argue with you, im just saying that some people believe in religion for the right reasons, no matter how stupid or hard to fathom that looks to somebody who doesn't do it themselves. good chat btw

Same to you. I agree with everything you said.
