The Lives of Three Classes: (Guest-Intermission) Take 45 {The Titan and the Hunter [but mostly the Titan]}

Those two are inseparable. The peanut butter and jelly, as you might call it! The caramel and the popcorn. The candy to the corn. The ice to the cream. The choco to the late. The wiggle to my sizz-- I'll just stop there.
Missed the previous Take? Fireteam Warlock Awoken, Female "I wish the Hunter would stop taking advantage of the Titan. I mean, the Titan could be managing his time better! I need a studying companion!" Hunter Human, Male "Yeah, I love the Big Guy. Partially because he's a great steppin' stool." Titan Exo, Male "The Hunter likes me 'cause he says I'm "malleable"! ...Whatever that means!" GUEST GUARDIAN Markus Tintreach Human, Male Warlock "Well, he's definitely a hugger!"
Markus Tintreach is shobr0's character in his fanfic "The Darkest Light", his first chapter is here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/179313570
NEW CHARACTER Cosm0 Female, Exo Warlock "WE'RE GONNA GET MARRIED SOON~!" ____________________________ "Hunter, remind me why we have to traverse Venus in the first place?!" The Warlock shouted at the Hunter who continued to lead the way. The Hunter only waved a hand nonchalantly, which only made the Warlock more upset. "Hunter," The Warlock growled. "Where are we going? I surely hope you did not bring me way out here to waste my time." "I didn't waste nobody's time, Floofy." The Hunter finally spoke, looking behind himself to look at her. "It's just a quick thing and then I promise you can go back to being your pompous self!" "Hmph. Very well then..." The Warlock crossed her arms, not saying another word as she turned her head to the side. "I was unaware not being pompous meant letting you take me every which way." "Fehhh..." The Hunter mumbled to himself as he rubbed the back of his neck. He really needed to stop that. The whole rivalry with the Warlock. "Eugh..." The Hunter continued to mumble, contemplating with himself. "Uhhh... 'Lock...?" The Hunter called back to her. "I, uh... I'm sorry..." He said, his cheeks getting hotter from embarrassment. The Warlock uncrossed her arms and positioned her head so that she was looking back at the Hunter. "It is alright Hunter. This is certainly not the first time we have exchanged insults." "Mm." The Hunter only replied with a nod, still embarrassed. This was a lot harder than it looked, especially apologizing about things that the Hunter would rather forget. "And uhh..." He began to add. "I'm sorry for a couple... Other things..." "What other things...?" The Warlock asked him, genuinely confused when he mentions other things that he felt he should apologize for. "J-Just other things, okay?!" The Hunter snapped, voice wavering. "Tsk." The Warlock crossed her arms. "You aren't being very specific, Hunter." "Can I please just give ya an indirect apology--" "Excuse me!" The Hunter's Ghost chimed in, materializing into the air near the Hunter's head. "What?!" The Hunter snapped at the Ghost, turning his attention towards him now. "Oh-- Uh... Sorry! But you got a message from the Titan!" ____________________________ "Gosh, I hope the Warlock got my message..." The Titan pondered to himself outwardly as he finished putting his last boot on. Afterwards he took a stretch. "No time to worry now." After he exited his room, he was greeted by, surprise surprise, Cosm0. "Can I come?" Cosm0 briskly asks him. "What?" "The moon. You, Markus. Can I come?" Cosm0 briefly specified as she clasped her hands together. "Pleeeaaaaase~?" He really couldn't say no. ____________________________ "...Hunter? What was the message?" The Warlock asked the Hunter. The Hunter didn't answer for tens of seconds before finally chuckling and turning around completely to look at her. "It's nothing. Heh... Just the Titan bein' an idiot, again." He explained, shrugging. "Very well then." The Warlock nodded. "'Kay, let's keep goin' then?" The Hunter said before continuing on the muggy path. The Warlock let out a sigh. "Ugh... Very well, then..." ____________________________ "Woohoo~!" Markus cheered as he stuck another landing, dust slowly flying away upon impact on the ground. He turned to look at the Titan and beckoned him excitedly with a hand. "Hey come on you gotta try this~! The one who can make the most dust wins!" Normally, the Titan would love to take Markus up on such an offer. But he had to act like the Warlock would in such a situation; taking leadership until she and the Hunter actually arrived. Also Cosm0 was missing, so that was a big no-no that he should play around when she could come about at any moment. "Uhhhh, I'll catch up with you, okay Markus?" The Titan called back to Markus tentatively. Markus shrugged. "Suit yourself~!" He replied as he took another large leap away from the former group. "Woooooooo~!" "Oh gosh..." The Titan whimpered to himself. If he lost track of his team then he wouldn't be able to do anything with them, and the Hunter and Warlock, mostly the Warlock, would be so disappointed in him! Failure. Was not. An option! "M-maybe I should give the Warlock a call; she'd know what to do at a time like this!" He said to himself, resolving the issue. "Ghost, if ya please?" The Titan's depressed Ghost instantly appeared upon summoning. "M-maybe we can this time..." He tried to sound hopeful, but naturally, being the Ghost that he was, didn't sound convincing. "I-I mean... Maybe... P-possibly? W-we could try?" He sounded like he was questioning himself rather than assuring who he was really supposed to assure in the first place. "Well that's good news!" The Titan said with genuine enthusiasm as he held the Ghost in both of his hands. "Give it a try!" He encouraged the Ghost tenderly as he held him close to himself. "You can do it!" The Ghost merely sighed before floating out of the Titan's hands. "Here goes nothing..." ____________________________ "Oh?" The Warlock's Ghost said as he turned his body to look at the Warlock. "Something's incoming for you." The Warlock sighed, her arms crossed as she watched the Hunter move through more trees. "Put it up." She simply ordered the Ghost. Obediently, the Ghost let the transmission through. "Hello? Hello?" A voice came through the Ghost's communications. The Warlock recognized the voice; it was the Titan. "Ah, hello Titan." The Warlock responded, putting her arms behind her back. "I trust you have good news at this time?" "Euuhhh..." The Titan responded blankly; the Warlock took that as a no. "Yeah, yeah! Uhm, well, we're at the moon!" "The moon?" The Warlock repeated. "NO--" The Titan abruptly shouted which made both the Warlock and her Ghost flinch slightly. "I-I mean y-yes! S-sorry, something just happened..." He sounded distracted. ____________________________ "Very well then." The Warlock said through the Titan's Ghost. The Titan fiddled with his fingers nervously. He hoped that didn't throw the Warlock off. "So, uh..." The Titan tried to change the subject. "Where did you guys go anyway?" "The Hunter requested that I join him on his journey to Venus. He mentioned something about a 'stash'." The Warlock explained. "I'll never understand Hunters." "Haha yeah you won't!" The Titan awkwardly laughed. "Haha... Ah..." The Warlock didn't sound amused. "Were you trying to insult me?" The Warlock asked him, her voice level. "Oh, no no!" The Titan stuttered. He was blowing it! "I-I was just--" "BE CAREFUL!" The Warlock suddenly shouted, which made the Titan's Ghost flinch violently. "Ah, forgive me." The Warlock apologized. "The Hunter is just--" Suddenly, a crash sounded through the Titan's Ghost's communications. "Eugh... M-medic..." A quivering voice called in the background. "Oh Hunter!" The Warlock's shouted. "Ah, I shall converse with you later, Titan. Goodbye." With that, the Warlock cut off the transmission. The Titan sighed. "Ah, well. Maybe when she gets back."
