Christmas did not come into existence until the 4th century prior to that it was called saturnalia and it was a widely celebrated thing it is pagan to its core and has nothing to do with the messiah in the bible.

  • That's simply not true. The reality is Christmas to Christians was always the day that they celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ. The name Christmas has Christ in it. LOL It became merged with a pagan holiday. But ever since the birth of Jesus, including the actual birth, has always been celebrated by his faithful.

That's not true Christmas was never celebrated by any believers, because Israelites thought celebrating your birth or anyone birth was idolatry, and pagan as well. This is why you see no mention of his birthday in scripture or never a mention of anyone holy celebrating a birthday period. In job he repented for his kids doing it because he knew the evil people did while celebrating their birthdays, and in the New Testament it was a birthday request for John the Baptist head to be cut off. The bible holds record that his birth wouldn't have been dec 25th either and to go further history records that Christmas as the name Christmas as I stated came into existence in the 4th century as a decree and after that the pope declared dec 25th his birthday. You're making strawman arguments. Heck when the settlers came to America Christmas was outlawed in Boston and was not celebrated... Cutting down trees placing them in your house and decorating them with ornaments that represents a god and sexuality, gift giving, placing lights and all that greenery is pagan. “Thus says the LORD, "Do not learn the way of the nations, And do not be terrified by the signs of the heavens Although the nations are terrified by them; For the customs of the peoples are delusion; Because it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. "They decorate it with silver and with gold; They fasten it with nails and with hammers So that it will not totter.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭10:2-4‬ ‭

  • That was quite the text wall. However it was not true... Reread my post. I never said the 25th. I said the day of his birth. And his true followers have been celebrating since they first saw the star which signified his birth and followed it to the place where he had been born i.e. the three Wiseman. And every single year since then. Not 25 December. His birth. Celebration. That's what Christmas is really about.

  • Here's where you error you're telling me that believers celebrated his birthday with no evidence, proof, or text biblical or extra biblical and you're trying to surmise celebrating his birthday as keeping Christmas. First you have to qualify these statements with something from somewhere. I or anyone interested can verify everything I have stated I even gave you a verse denoting taking up any pagan thing as forbidden biblically. 1. The bible never mention THREE wise men visiting the messiah. They brought gifts of frankincense, gold, and myrr to him. People assume that because the gifts were of these 3 that it was only 3 people. 2. The wise men were not Israelites. They came from the east somewhere and saw the star in the sky which was a symbol of the messiah to be born. They first went to King Herod (an Edomite) and asked him where was the king BORN KING OF THE JEWS meaning wherever they were the star had disappeared. 3. Jesus was already born when the magi made it to Jerusalem to find Jesus only to be told he was born in Bethlehem. 4. Herod sent the magi to Bethlehem and told them to report back to him when they found the child that was born. 5. When they made it to Jesus he was already alive and well it's possible he was already like 2 years of age at that moment. 6. The reason for the two years is because when Herod realized the magi weren't coming back he sent his soldiers to kill all male children 2 years and younger. 7. When the magi met Jesus they worshipped him and rejoiced when they saw the star which meant they didn't follow a star when it came to finding him. 8. None of this ever says that they were celebrating his birth as a reoccurring thing, but the text clearly emphasizes the worshipping that he was/is the anointed one, because they understood scripture. To say true believers celebrated a Christmas before the 4th century has to be proven. Did they worship or celebrate because he was the messiah? Yes, but Christmas is an event where gifts are given trees are brought in with all the decorations and Santa may or may not be apart of it and also the the birth of Christ may or may not apart of it hence why it's also called XMAS.
