Sorry for the poor grammar, but I'm stupid. Hi, Taco Senpai here back again asking advice from you guys. First of all this poll is asking whether or not I'm -blam!-ed in life. I'm 16 currently right now, but I'm turning 17 next week on Tuesday. :D I'm a overweighted, but I've been going to the gym lately and I've been losing some pounds. I'm also in a Certificate track on high school which is worse than a Diploma. I don't have a job and I almost play video games all day. Am I fuuuucked in life? I feel like when I'm going to get out of high school my life will be over and I might end up killing myself. TL;DR I'm fat, 16, stupid and my life sucks what do I do know?

Some advice I've received helped me a lot so might as well pass it on. Hitting rock bottom means that you can't get any lower, so in a way this is freeing, this means you can take risks without having to deal with devastating loss. Once you're at the bottom, there's nowhere to go but up. So just go out and live your life if you're so concerned about it, because there's always a chance that you're fucked in life in any circumstance. You only get one life, and this is important to full accept, because most people go through life waiting to get to start living rather then actually living it. And don't be afraid of trying, because if you try and fail, it's not your fault. But if you don't try and fail, that's all on you. Keep your chin up, bud, anything is possible with a little determination.

            • Just keep trying. Find what you love and live a life based on that, with a career involving such.

            • Find your passion in life. If you cannot find your passion, you cannot work hard, and you cannot try to be positive about your life, you will never be successful.

                • Nothing against you but technology is such a problem for today's youth. I see it in my family and friend's families. A lot of kids don't care about driving, working or hanging out with friends. I grew up in the 80s. We didn't have cell phones or computers. We hung out, lifted weights, worked on cars, went to the movies, cruised, went fishing/hunting, etc. My biggest goal was to drive. That was my ticket to freedom. I was told if I wanted a car at 16, I better get a job at 15. I also had to pay for my insurance and gas. Working gave me perspective. I met new and interesting friends. I had a blast. I wouldn't trade my youth for today's youth for no amount of money. I would suggest getting a job. That will keep you busy while socializing. It could help you lose some weight. Replacing a meal with a salad would help. I lost 9 pounds in 2 weeks by doing that along with replacing my late night snack with boiled carrots or sliced cucumbers if youre craving chips. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.

                  • Don't kill yourself, but you put yourself in the rut of "plays videogames all the time" and "doesn't do well in school".

                  • Dude, when I was 14-18 I played video games at least 4-6 hours a day, and an upwards of 8-12 on weekends. I had no social life till I was 17, I was bullied bad from 7th grade to my sophomore year. I was never overweight for clarification and I ended up being an All-state athlete in football, basketball and track. Just set your goals right, no matter what you do with your spare time just strive to be the best at what you want to do in life. Good luck! Never let up!

                  • You're 16. Chill. That right there is enough to tell me that you're fine. Tons of people don't know what they want to do at that age, or where they're going in life. It's normal. You have no idea where you'll be 10 years from now. Explore some new fields, find something you're passionate about, and then pursue it. Get a job, workout, mingle with people. You'll be set in no time.

                  • The only way it will get better is if you see a reason for yourself to change. Nobody else can work a meaningful life change except for yourself.

                  • All that shit is controllable. Drop the video games until you lose that weight and get your grades up, then just look at life positively from there. You really don't want to do anything crazy. It's not a fun road.

                  • Better find some motivation or your life will end up being unfulfilling. If you don't have a job, but you are financially stable at the moment, force yourself to do some volunteer work. Doing things to benefit others without thinking of what you can gain is a great way to jumpstart motivation.

                  • You are already working out at a gym which is a good start, another good step would probably be to get a part time job to get you out of the house a bit more, other then your just going to have to learn how to study. So no your life is not ruined your only 16 you have plunty of time to change things

                  • It would appear that if you got rid of the video games (or severely reduced/monitored your gaming time) and started putting effort into your education and being physically active all your outlook would vastly improve, Your 16. You have nothing but time to improve. Start now to develop the habits you need to live a fulfilling life.

                  • What you need is someone to describe what you're good at. Kinda what I need too. Most people have told me that I'm a good writer, so I might try something along those lines in my near-future. We'll just go wherever life takes me, I guess. Sometimes the best outcomes arrive with little decision.
