I love this community..

The typical LFG Light Level requirement of 315+ for a hard King's Fall raid is totally justified. The majority of players who still run weekly raids just want to get them done with as little fuss as possible. Why spend 6 hours carrying and coaching an inexperienced player through an activity that we're accustomed to finishing in less than 2? But Rose, a higher light level doesn't always guarantee skill, and that's what matters. You're right. Player skill is preferable to light level. No doubt. Unfortunately, there's no way of determining a players' skill without actually playing with them and I, like most raiders who use LFG as a base for putting together a team, don't have time to check stats or run tryouts. A minimum light requirement of 315+ is a fair baseline when estimating a players' experience at the game's current state. After 4 weeks of challenge mode handing out 320 gear, the majority of experienced raiders should be higher than 315 light. But Rose, I'm experienced! I'm only 307 light because RNG hates me! That's a shame. It truly is. Unfortunately for you though, I don't care. The probability of a low light player being more experienced than one closing in on the cap is still too low for me to risk inviting you over someone with a higher light level. Like I said, I just want to get this done. But Rose, if no one invites me to a raid, how am I supposed to progress? You could always create your own group and impose a lighter restriction. I'm sure there are loads of players in your position so it shouldn't be too hard. But Rose, most players at my light level are scrubs. I don't want to spend 6 hours carrying and coaching an inexperienced player through an activity that I'm accustomed to finishing in less than 2. ...

 • how is inviting someone to a raid a risk??? This is a video game, you risk nothing but spending a couple tries against a raid boss that end in failure at MOST. If I ever get back on this game, any new raiders can play with me
