Yeah, the blast radius of the hammers are a -blam!-ing joke in its current state. I made a 5min video showing clips of how weak the hammers have become and how inconsistent they are. You think I'm bullshiting? Just watch the video and you will see what I'm talking about. This is not me crying, I want CONSISTENT! If i hit someone with a hammer I want a kill in return, I wanted to be rewarded for being accurate not punished. Just make the Blast radius of the hammer i bit bigger and it will solve itself.

For the people saying: "Golden Gun has no blast radius and kills on impact, so HoS needs to kill on impact too".
Difference between HoS and GG:
GG: insta-kill lazer beam with a big ass hitbox (almost impossible to miss) in 1st person (very easy to aim) with 0 travel time and unlimited range (in PvP)
HoS: Has travel time (which was increased with 2.1), effected by gravity, doesn't go in a straight line, 3rd person aim (which can be very awkward)
HoS works basicly like a rocket, you can get as accurate as you can with them. Do you expect from a rocket to kill someone only if it directly impacts them? I'm not saying that the hammers should have the same power as a rocket (not by a longshot), but when I throw a hammer right next to/in front of the enemy I except to get a kill. Not to mention that it is almost impossible to hit a player who uses blink/shadestep/twilight garrison. So yeah we need a little blast radius buff to make this super CONSISTENT again, because right now its the most inconsistent super in the game along with arcblade.
And even when you land a DIRECT hit, it fails to kill the player which is very sad. Clink link below for another clip of how inconsistent the super is:

As a side-note, I get the feeling it will never be 'fixed'. Axion Bolts still only do 2 damage quite often and that's been an issue since.. well... day 1.

I think those hammers missed cuz u were in a laggy game. Destiny needs dedicated servers this p2p crap is garbage. Since anyone can host the game.

4 RepliesWhy do people seem surprised or even angry when the Titans get nerfed? It's part of destiny. It's just something expected now. The unstoppable horde of cry babies that only main other class' will always get what they want. Even though hunters are more used and warlock will always be better. The moment someone gets killed by the super or charge more than once in a game or can't figure out how to counter/are not good enough to counter they go straight to the forums and whine and cry till it gets nerfed. It's just how destiny works. LoL is full of a-holes and destiny is majority cry babies. Every game has that one group that ruins it for the rest. Get use to it or go outside. (I main Titan on ps4 and warlock/hunter on xbone. Yeah, stopped playing xbone and got a ps4 but still wanted to play destiny)

15 RepliesI agree HoS's blast radius needs to be buffed although what i'd like is a nerf for impact damage so it wont one hit kill arcblade/stormtrance, etc (PvP only) and a buff to both damages (impact and exposive) for PvE.

1 ReplyIt's not just the hammers. Hit detection in destiny PvP went to absolute shit with the last update. Bladedancers and sunbreakers are feeling it. But standard punches are also very inconsistent now. I've had to punch people 3 times the last few days in multiple occurrences because 1/3 didn't detect.

Did you notice they were dodging them though, which should have been possible before the nerf, but basically wasn't? :I The hammer is not a damn grenade. You should have to predict where they're going and land almost directly on them to get a kill, with some slight leeway offered by AoE. SLIGHT, not great. Think of it like a tradeoff- Golden Gun is accurate, but only gets three shots. Hammer of Sol is not as accurate, but gets more than three.

I think the blast radius could be increased between what it is now and what it was before but I disagree with some of your points. 1. You were not accurate. Aside from that warlock who took a hammer to the face, you were about 5-10 meters off from your target. That is a pretty large window that makes me think you're using the term "accurate" a little lightly. You looked like you were hammering like it was pre nerf. You could do well to be a bit more deliberate and aim more and not rely on the blast radius for your kills. To compensate for the slower travel time, You may need to get closer to get your kills. 2. A lot of what you're seeing is probably lag. Meaning, you are clearly getting the kill on your screen but in reality they are far enough away on their screen and whatever the reality between the two is to justify taking 5 and 65 damage. I get it all the time while using arc blade. It's not fair for me and it's not fair for you but increasing the blast radius for you to compensate for lag while leaving arc blades out in the cold to fight lag isn't fair either. Solution, there isn't one with our dedicated servers. You'll have to adapt if you really want to main a sunbreaker Titan. Edit to your comparing rockets to HoS: the difference is you can fire HoS much faster than a rocket can fire and you don't need to reload. With that comparison, I redact my statement saying you should have your blast radius buffed slightly. It should stay where it is. You should not have 7 massive blast radius rockets at your disposal ever 2-4 minutes. That would be unfair, like it was pre nerf I guess....:)

Also, tight clusters of grounded players are eating hits and splash damage like it's nothing. I still think the lag is playing a part in this along with how the detonations are now, of course coupled with that nerf to explosive damage. But isn't that the point of an exploding Super? To kill things with explosions. HoS isn't a high accuracy based Super (unless the target is in the air), it's a bombing run. If a hammer lands in the middle of 3 Guardians a few feet from each other (in-game feet...) that should be a multi-kill. *returns to Striker*
