I think they are fine the way they are, honestly. Very helpful in PvE, they were my main exotic for my bladedancer in year 1. In PvP invisibility isn't very useful, so I feel like the gloves are targeted towards PvE.
Personally I find a lot of use for invisibility in PvP, mainly in objective based game types. It helps play a super aggressive but tactical style. I can pull it off with a Nightstalker using the SAGs and Vanish in Smoke, but the subclass is more suited to run and gun sniping and medium range combat IMO and is nowhere near as white of the eyes intense as a Bladedancer stealth build. In year 1 (HoW at least) it was all about Khepri's Sting for me.
