Don't listen to anything else but this - go at the gates at an angle (except the teleport ones)
Go at the angle slightly opposite the way u need to turn ..immediately after you pass through it (but make sure your trough) hit the side ways boost in the direction of the turn. I will overtake anyone in front and gain loads of ground every time.
Just try it once so you know I'm being honest and post result here.. Promise you mate it's the best way.
And don't go for every gate- if ur speed is maxed aim for a straight line over a gate as I won't won't gain speed you will just stray from your race line and add distance. Common sense.
Good luck.
I'm well over my wins btw and Iv not even tried to win since Iv completed the book.. Just ended up with them.
I'd use the trick sparrows. The extra fuel they get from doing tricks is all worth it. Plus equip any SRL gauntlet, chest, or leg armor to compliment the trick sparrows.
Try and go in a straight line for most of the boost gates and usually what works best for many occasions is bumping left or right right before gate. Squeeze in at right a tighter radius, know the best time to turn at the apex, and you can watch videos to see the best routes to take. I've played a ton of racing tho.
