You may also want to try clearing your console cache. Here is a guide on how to do so: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12539
Also, when you switched between LAN and WiFi, did you ensure that you changed your network settings on the console to use the new connection type?

Thank you for responding! I have cleared the console cache on the PS4 and have ensured that the network settings have been changed to reflect my current connection (LAN). When starting Destiny, everything loads properly until the character selection screen. When I select my character, I am met by a loading screen, followed by ATTENTION and the same error message about permissions. My system is, indeed, connected to the internet. And I have been able to download games through PS Plus, and play other online multiplayer games. The only game that is affected appears to be Destiny. Further guidance is needed. Thank you.
