The real problem is that Bungie now looks at unnecessary grinding as a source of revenue instead of a design flaw.
A good opinion piece that this idea is from:

One of the main points of the op is how quickly you can do it. So your takeaway is that bungie is using the grind to make money. But the op clearly states there is no grind. So what's up with your flawed logic. It can't both not be worth it and help alleviate the "grind"

It doesn't take a long time to reach level 25, but it takes weeks to fully unlock a subclass. It saves players dozens of hours. Before, it could be argued that this was by design. Now, it looks like a nice meaty grind that Bungie can charge you to unlock. Situations where you change your nodes are advantageous, and were earned by grinding daily/weeklies, now they can be bought. I am not a fan.

It's similar to the design shitty mobile games use.

Yep. Makes me feel like dirt. I really liked Destiny prior to this, too

My feelings toward the game were on the decline following TDB. I came back to try out HoW, stopped, got TTK, then stopped again. The gambling gear treadmill was just unrewarding and tedious. The way Bungievision nickel and dimes the consumers and their fans is deplorable.
