But not out of fear. Because of lack of interest.
Trials is a toxic, poorly-designed event where weekend gamers are expect to compete with streamers and other professionals.

Not really, I mean I play pretty regularly, but only get to play decent amounts on the weekend and I usually do trials and I've never had a problem like that

Streamers and real professionals are a very small majority in trials.

The fact that they compete at all against regular gamers is a problem. It's like putting weekend golfer up against a PGA Tour pro.

You are right. But that is like a PGA golfer going to one of the thousands of courses among America. The odds of it happening are so slim.
