WARNING: Math Incoming (you have been warned!)
55% damage reduction has been reduced by 9.09%. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
[55% damage reduction = 0.55 * incoming damage]
[9.09 percent = 0.910]
Math: (0.55) * (0.910) = 0.5005 (rounded down to 0.50)
This means that In Hammer of Sol: Titans have a 50% damage reduction which is, get this
EXACTLY THE SAME AS A NON-RADIANT SKIN SUNSINGER.
You want tanks? Look at Striker TITANS.
With max armor (and no armor via exotic or legendary chest pieces) a Striker TITAN has: Wait for it....
202 health.
Ba-dah! More health then any other class in the game, excluding Ram Warlocks (Which need a bloody exotic to get that much health)
English

Warlocks have the option to get more damage reduction if they give up self res
-
Now, I'm not saying it's unfair, or poorly balanced or anything like that....but... Your examples are all how a max armour Titan has more armour than a warlock.... except a max armour warlock.......
-
Max armor warlock = 197 health Max armor Defender or Sunbreaker = 198 health Max armor Striker = 202 health All pre-exotic. Do warlocks have an exotic that grants additional armor? Yup . Is 10-ish extra HP a fair trade off for say, quick revive or say... tracking scatter grenades or a super that heals you? Yup. Imho titans should have a comparable exotic. Perhaps a helm that gives +4 armor and makes all melees burn the enemy

iF WARLOCKS MUST HAVE A TANK SUBCLASS...i guess that would be fair
-
Warlocks don't have a tank subclass
