I am just curious to how many people actually participate in trials.
I do realize the forums population is minuscule compared to the whole destiny population but still may be helpful.

Rarely. I play as a support guy, its just how I like to approach gameplay. So while you are working to go as positive as possible, I am instead looking to drop the most orbs of light that you've ever seen. I also work to negate and suppress enemy supers, and grant frequent buffs to teammates. (And still try to go positive while doing it) Such a play style is suited to large numbers of people -allies and enemies both. The more people there are, the more my support (and suppression) efforts are magnified. So I am a support man, and I take great pride in how good I have gotten at it. In a good match, I will drop 6 orbs of light in less than two minutes, and I will maintain that pace for the whole game. I will also cancel out between 5-7 enemy supers. There is no one I know who can drop even half as many orbs, and I have never met another person who even comes close to negating supers as well as me. But my play style just doesn't work well in Trials (or any playlist with so few people), and the folks excelling in Trials are just as good at their game as I am at mine. I would love to see the Lighthouse, but I am not the kind of player who can reach it.
