Question about pulse rifles?

Ok, so I have not played destiny for over a month now, but my friends keep begging me to jump back in the game with them. I have refused, especially since now I have fallen behind, missing raid challenges and raid gear opportunites. I also missed the last iron banner.. As much as I like my warlock... I just couldnt be bothered with the grind anymore. That and after I noticed myself being a dick to my friends in Trials I decided that it was time to stop playing destiny. Now, It seems I have a new problem if I were to try and jump back into the game. All of my best primaries are pulse rifles. ( I have a 310 touch of malice but that is not good for most situations.) Now I would love to switch to auto rifles, but Bungie apparently did not buff them and trying to level up new weapons would be exceedingly difficult now that I missed so many things. I know my friends want me back, but I think it might be too late to be of any help to them, and I am sure they have other friends who can take my place on their raid team. So my question is how badly have pulse rifles been nerfed? Would I be of any use to my friends if I still tried to use them in crucible or the raid? (Sorry for long post.)

Man, what has the world become if the average human being finds this to be a long post. You're fine, haha. Still quite viable. They literally take one more bullet to kill with and have proper range now. Good luck though, people are just body shot spraying with everything they have now xD In PvE, they are suffering a bit because of their range nerf. But depending on the impact type you used, you will hardly see a difference. A 5% nerf or so (when you consider the 10% nerf and 5% buff to certain classes of Pulse Rifles).

    • you can use them fine, they are not great no. you will use more ammo faster in PVE due to sloppy damage thresholds. and in pvp they are simply outclassed by handcannons.
