Voidfang resupplies your grenades every time you die.
Maybe they're using those to get higher light level? Eg. normally play another class but switch for trials. Striker and defender have very little use in trials whereas sunbreaker wrecks everything.

I know they do but, at least switch to an exotic that helps the class.

Maybe they don't have any high light exotics? It's stupid, I know. Light doesn't make that big of a difference but some think it does.

Low light players are also more casual.
