Usually, but it galls me that the range on both warlock and hunter melees are so much greater than a titan's. Combined with a warlock's shield proccing for damage, as opposed to a defender's only on a kill, it's frustrating when running a close-quarters build. Titans can get the kills, but have to work harder for them.

Edited by Kage Goomba: 12/2/2015 7:19:59 AMGranted - but I've had many a titan fist implanted in my warlocks face. We may have range (And its not that great...honestly this range argument makes me scream bullshit as I've found it to be VERY short) - but Titans have a potential to do a One Hit KO on their target. I have to do damage to you before my Melee has a chance of "Vaporizing" you. :P

Depends on your build. I've run all 3 classes a variety of ways, and the range difference is definitely considerable. The stormcaller, in particular. It feels a little bit long when you run it, but going against it makes it seem a HUGE difference. I didn't actually appreciate it until I spent a significant amount of time running warlock. When I went back to my titan I would misjudge and come up short on melees until I readjusted.

Edited by Kage Goomba: 12/2/2015 7:31:08 AMIt's not as long as you think it is...and I've run the stormcaller/voidwalker heavily recently (sunsinger ill need to check on) If anything the range you're talking about might be 1/10th longer reach than titan??? but its not as long as you make it to be. I know because I've purposely hit melee past spitting distance and failed many ah times. Although it seems to work for "over head" - but that could be an illusion. Also keep in mind Titan's have certain things that make warlock melee look like a chew toy...like shoulder charge. XD

The strategy guide listed titan melee range as 4m and warlocks' as 6. (Link below)That's pretty significant. I was going to say 25% longer, but it's actually 50%. But, I'm not calling for a reworking or balancing of the classes. I'd gladly accept a piece of exotic gear and sacrifice that slot to build for melee. https://www.bungie.net/uR/Forum/Post/75074436/0/0

Edited by Kage Goomba: 12/2/2015 7:54:08 AMIn terms of PVP and split second timing...doesn't mean much...otherwise I'd connect on all Melee hits and win every-single-time. Granted I've been doing slightly better than average these days PVP wise...but its not as easy as it looks. 6 Meter's I'd dispute.... I mean if you think about it....6 Meter's is a long ways....don't think so. - just doesn't add up from personal experience. I'd say its 2 Arms length...if not slightly longer (including the arm length in reach). That's not 6 Meters to be sure. I've gotten more melee's recently as I've discovered I have to throw a couple bullets at your noggin to make my melee connect effectively....otherwise its a pair of T-Rex's punching each other out.
