I just think it'd be nifty if a 100% guaranteed drop for every raid was an "Infusion Shard" or some sort that's valued at the Light Level of the respective raid (KF Normal would be 310, KF Hard would be 320), that you can infuse into ANY piece of gear and instantly bring it up to that value, but the Infusion Shard only drops after clearing all checkpoints and then killing Oryx (if you kill Oryx first you'll have to kill him again after clearing the other checkpoints) or whoever the raid boss is.
If it sounds like that would make leveling up too easy,
-people have multiple characters
-people have multiple sets of armor per character
-people have multiple weapons
It might be easy to get to the level cap (though it'd still take almost two months just for one character, less if you're lucky), but it'd keep people playing for a long time just to get ALL of their favorite gear to the cap.

Wow, just wow, this is great, THIS MUST BE SENT TO BUNGIE IMMEDIATELY

Thank you! I can see why Bungie did it the way they did, to keep people playing longer than previous raids did, but how they went about it was wrong. When your chance at improving isn't guaranteed, some people just give up after a while, myself included. Why try to progress if I won't actually progress? It's asinine.

Keeping players is a HUGE part of a game, and its how gaming companies work, especially for RPG's, but there are so many ways of doing it, like creating more perks on weapons and armor to have a more random change of getting god rolls and such
