It's honestly just a basic copy/paste of 3's story with a handful of elements swapped around. They gutted all RPG aspects and replaced them with flashy (yet still outdated) gunplay. The map is depressingly small and littered with monotonous locations that rarely tell a unique story. After all of this, the game is still fun as hell to play. I guess that's all that matters :/

  • Beats the hell out of gta's large yet empty map! I'll take a smaller one packed with locations that can be explored. Over a large empty but flashy world

  • Because I obviously love GTA based on what I said.

  • The story is like 3's. Instead of the son looking for the parent, it's the parent looking for the son. Map seems the same size or slightly larger than 3's but with a hell of a lot more locations instead of a big empty space in some areas of the map. Customization of settlements and weapons. More quests. More enemies. And more than 1 ending.

  • Map literally looks and feels half the size of 3's. All factions are ambiguous and do nothing to change the ending anyways, and more than 75 percent of the locations are generic raider/mutant camps with nothing of interest besides more randomly generated loot. New Vegas is the Fallout I enjoy most anyways, was never defending 3.

  • New Vegas ends with the same Hoover Dam battle though. Just different sides to join. Independent, NCR, or Legion.

  • 3 different factions that have starkly defined differences. You forgot House's ending, by the way. There's hardly any ambiguity with the factions in New Vegas, and the impact on the Mojave is entirely different based on who you side with. And the map and location variety? No opinion about that?

  • It was a lot of desert and locations, to me, we're alright. But mostly felt boring. Just more of a post-apocalypse person. It felt like New Vegas had too much life in it. It's just preference. I did like Dead Money because of the atmosphere and backstory. And Lonesome Road and Old World Blues as well. Honest Hearts was a little dumb. But The Survivalist's backstory is crazy. Anyway, franchise is good. They're all great games.

You haven't played fallout 4 if this is what you think.

  • My 123 hours on Steam say otherwise. People are entitled to their opinion. Not everyone is required to blindly swear allegiance to Bethesda's mediocrity.
