-
I've played it for almost 11 years and held consistent 1st chair unfortunately never did Marching band but played in Jazz and a Concert band
-
I did Jazz band for some time aswell. I stopped playing after high school, just didn't try to get into a band in college. I have options for groups but just don't have the time for it.
-
I'm not yet out of High school but will probably play in a college band
-
I'm a college Junior. I miss it. If you can play in college do it.
-
Probably will once I've been playing it since I was like 5/6
-
Lol technically I play Baritone but people not into music usually dont know what it is. And they're basically the same, just different bore sizes so I just say I play both. My rental through the school was a Euphonium and my personal instrument was a Baritone. And I played whatever part the director wanted me to play lol.
-
Yeah I play euphonium but most a lot of the time of the part calls for a different low brass instrument I can play those as well just not as good
-
Yeah I could usually play all low brass parts, but if it was like a french horn part I'd struggle. The only hard part about switching between the two was just the embouchure changes and breath because of the Euphonium's larger bore. It takes waaay more air lol.
-
Yeah I've tried playing a trumpet but normally it sounds like rhinos sexing it up
-
Basically how it goes.
-
XD not an analogy I normally make but it's not often I meet someone who actually knows what a euphonium is
-
Hahaha we're a far rarer breed than flutes.
-
Or trumpets like holy shit theirs like 20-30 in our concert band alone
-
Yeah we had like a million of them.
-
Glad I'm not alone
