Got 2 friends into Destiny, bought limited editions for them on launch and got TTK limited also for one of them who stayed past TTK.
One of them doesn't play anymore due to no balances/whats the point if you can't play VoG for fun. However even then if I were to get them to come back as it's been a few mths..well, would be nice to have incentive to try when you have every other week.
Why refer anybody? If some of us were to leave from the same bullshit like this, then that already entices existing players to leave toi and less people to buy precious Silver/future games or dlc. Congrats you might get 1 more assignee getting TTK, you ofc don't give a shit if they leave since it's bought. But that also affects them buying the next thing or staying in the long run for the tiny bit of cash gained.
Alienated the whole -blam!-ing fanbase and expect to try get people into this while being spat in the face. Bungie are a close tie with EA for the golden shit award next yr right now.
Lets ask Breaking Benjamin lead if we can refer him as he did do Halo 2s Blow me away song.. Whats the bet for his opinion on this?
To the brain dead people who mope about "This is life/Just business/it's their game/every excuse under the sun etc etc
Pretty small payoff to bother getting friends who didn't already get signed up, and the amount of people bad mouthing the game now?
Lets burn down the Amazonion rainforest coz it's just business. This is why we get so much bad deals, crappy dlc and what not compared to 7 years ago. You hand in the towel for the easy way and bash others because you lack clarity.

4 RepliesI brought 5 to 10 friends into destiny during vanilla, but oh well.
-
I've had a group of four who have played title after title together. We played every COD title it seems like, and then we had borderlands 2, and another cod.....and the last year in Destiny for PS4.....we were in it since launch. I played the least, of all of them, but I still put in 15 days on this pos

Its not the brightest decision from Bungie as we have already recruited any friends that want to play......Easy fix, have Tess sell the emotes/sparrow/shader, then the people who want to pay can get them without all the BS.

What a slap in the face this is. We campaigned hard to promote this game to people who weren't even interested and now that everybody left they're telling us to go find more people. F*ck you Bungie. I'm enjoying seeing this boring game fail.
-
At this point in the game I'd say it's too late. No one wants to play this game anymore. Bungievision bent over its fanbase and didn't have the courtesy to use lube.

Edited by Skyline Pro: 11/25/2015 12:00:50 AMJust reached out to (3) friends today. 2 are interested (one is even considering buying a next-gen console for it). I'll probably have one join next week...the others...well...we'll see. I see where everyone is coming from however and the frustration makes sense. I also see what Bungie is trying to do (obviously) and I can't fault them for trying what's also used in games like WoW.

1 ReplyI actually convinced 5-6 of my friends to join back when TTK came out. No rewards for the $400 I made Bungie.

5 RepliesWhy do people care about it the loot is shit anyways

Signed, i refered my grandma, my grandpa, my cousin, my maid and my dog to play destiny and i got nothing sigh...

Game sucks dick. Everyone should stop playing until they give us a complete game

2 RepliesI would have taken that battlefront disk);

Refer a friend and in game transactions (emotes, dances and pointless helmets) are both stupid so I won't participate. If everyone did the same, maybe they'd realize they can only make money by providing content.

1 ReplyBrought FIVE friends into Destiny when TTK launched. I made my raid team out of friends I know IRL and was really happy about that. Now? Not so happy to get shafted right after I did that. Buuuuut, I should have known Bungie would pull some crap like this. Their hunger for more money is already beyond the point where they can make money while still respecting their current fanbase. I sincerely hope this blows up in their face like all the other times they tried to -blam!- over their fans. You know, the way Bungie explains Destiny is like it's an ever-changing world where the players and the developers work together hand in hand to make this game better. In reality, it's the developers trying to do the least amount of work while making the maximum amount of profit and the fans raging against this lazy ass developer and publisher combo to do something better with this game. Of course they won't until they see a dent in their wallet. Annnnnd now we're here. Bungie had a choice and they decided to do the SAME. DAMN. THING. Least amount of work for the most profit. Shaders, reskins and animations. And then wave this in front of player's face to sell the game for them. Your reputation is doing so well right now Bungie. It's just like it was during Halo 3. You've totally bottled up that lightning a second time around. A true developer will make a game so great that word of mouth alone is enough to sell it to new players. Amazing reviews will be more than enough. Creating a refer-a-friend system is basically announcing to the world that you have to stoop this low to get more sales. It's pathetic and again, I hope this blows up in your face. /rant
