Got 2 friends into Destiny, bought limited editions for them on launch and got TTK limited also for one of them who stayed past TTK.
One of them doesn't play anymore due to no balances/whats the point if you can't play VoG for fun. However even then if I were to get them to come back as it's been a few mths..well, would be nice to have incentive to try when you have every other week.
Why refer anybody? If some of us were to leave from the same bullshit like this, then that already entices existing players to leave toi and less people to buy precious Silver/future games or dlc. Congrats you might get 1 more assignee getting TTK, you ofc don't give a shit if they leave since it's bought. But that also affects them buying the next thing or staying in the long run for the tiny bit of cash gained.
Alienated the whole -blam!-ing fanbase and expect to try get people into this while being spat in the face. Bungie are a close tie with EA for the golden shit award next yr right now.
Lets ask Breaking Benjamin lead if we can refer him as he did do Halo 2s Blow me away song.. Whats the bet for his opinion on this?
[spoiler]To the brain dead people who mope about "This is life/Just business/it's their game/every excuse under the sun etc etc
Pretty small payoff to bother getting friends who didn't already get signed up, and the amount of people bad mouthing the game now?
Lets burn down the Amazonion rainforest coz it's just business. This is why we get so much bad deals, crappy dlc and what not compared to 7 years ago. You hand in the towel for the easy way and bash others because you lack clarity.

Can't you have someone make a new account for this?

1 ReplyIt's truly sickening to see how people will try and turn the smallest thing bungie does, from a deej comment to FREE THING FOR NEW PLAYERS into a a bad thing. Talk about professional victims.

All my friends quit last year Do I still count?

1 ReplyEdited by Kentaiga: 11/25/2015 12:24:23 AMI guess one thing I have to be thankful for this Thanksgiving is that I have one friend who just conveniently called up saying he was considering buying TTK. P.S Does anyone know whether or not you can get the rewards on last-gen? They're in the game but the Refer-A-Friend page says you have to have a XBONE or PS4. P.S.S Signed.

I am a day one player and one of my friends didn't have a console. He used to, but his XB360 died on him. I had a PS4, and knew I'd be getting an XB1 soon, so I told him to definitely get a current gen console and Destiny because it was so awesome. He couldn't afford it so I let him come over and play. He loved Destiny. When I got my XB1, I gave him enough money to cover a little over half the cost of an XB1 for his birthday, and he got the XB1 and Destiny. I got a copy of Destiny for XB1, and started over just so I could play with him as well as my PS4 group. That's in addition to my brother in law, 3 coworkers, and 2 other friends that I convinced to buy this game over the first year. They all really enjoy it. It's a bummer that after all of that, I can't qualify for the refer a friend quest or get the emotes, shader, and sparrow.

15 RepliesEdited by GhostSniper3491: 11/25/2015 12:36:55 AMI've stopped playing destiny after being committed for over a solid year I done, did the game I beat everything in first year beat oryx loads time on hard and never get really good drops I have hunter 316, Titan 315, warlock 316 I come on odd time n go flawless still but tbh I'm bored of the grind now finally so I've not bothered doing anything on reset days for like 3 week ...all this half content I mean we don't have access to these other exotics or anything it's so lame now I can just play fallout 4 or have fun tearing people up on black ops 3 hardcore multi-player ... i hope they fix the game for destiny two it has potential let's not say it HAD POTENTIAL ... I could rant on about everything I hate about destiny but I'd be here all night so I doubt I'll be trying to get anymore friend on the hype train when it dying down already got over 300 committed players well I did before these other games came out n where's our exclusive stuff for that lol

Yeah :( Stuf looks cool too.

I'll only do this quest if a new guardian willingly comes to me and asks if I would like to do the "Refer-a-friend" quest with them. I don't want to just prey on a new player to get their hopes high for an exciting new adventure in Destiny only to be abandoned right after I get my rewards. This game is already drying out for me as it is so idk if I'd be willing to continue playing afterwards with the new kid. I'd feel like a total dick too :(
