Note: if your here just for the idea for the new iron banner specific game mode then skip down to next section. So I've been reading alot of posts and watching alot of streamers and videos and I've noticed that regardless of if iron banner is clash or if it's control people seem to be upset. So while bored at work I came up with a new iron banner game type. Iron banner is supposed to be a battle for the hardened veterans as far as I understand of the lore and from how epic lord salidin thinks he is. So I have a game mode idea that would fit perfectly with the lore and the event itself... [b]game mode description[/b] I don't want to call it King of the hill so I'm going to call it "King of the iron throne" Basically both teams fight as if it was clash but each team will have a leader so to speak... The persons on either team that have the most points or biggest streak will gain a placebo buff called "banner holder". They will maintain that buff as long as they stay alive and gain extra points for kills while they hold it, so the longer they stay alive and keep killing the better their team does. The objective of the other team is to try and keep their banner holder alive as well as try to take their opponents banner holder out to stop or reduce the amount of points their team is getting. The buff could multiply per kill so if a god of crucible has it they could rack up points quick, but also make themselves huge targets for the opposite team. This is just my idea and I thought I would share it and see what people think. And if they think it would be a good idea or not... Feel free to let me know what your thoughts are and bump if you like it so bungie can see it and maybe we can make this happen.
