As quoted from the changes preview:
Inventory no longer benefits from Fusion Rifle armor perks, but does benefit from Heavy Ammo armor perks.
I wonder if the developers realize that none of the year two armors have an "increased heavy ammo perk." All year 2 armor are specifically machine gun or rocket launcher. This means that, while doing year 2 activities, there is no way for sleeper simulant to get a bonus to its ammo reserves because they have removed the ability for it to be buffed by fusion rifle perks.
Am I right in assuming this?
Edit: A couple of people claimed A. Luppi has the heavy ammo perk. Mine does not. If yours does could you please equip for all to see? (confirmed, A Luppi year 2 does not).
Edit2: Only Alchemist's Raiment and (Starfire Protocol year 2??) is confirmed, meaning only Warlocks get bonus heavy ammo for SS? And only if they use an otherwise terrible exotic?
Edit3: Starfire Protocol confirmed, which all in all is an ok exotic for situational purposes. Still limited to only Warlocks...

Warlock's will be well covered with the Heavy ammo perk on Starfire Protocol and Alchemists Raiment. And if year 1 ammo perks stay the same on rehashed Titan & Hunter armors... Titan's are getting Armamentarium and Peregrine Greaves that had heavy. Hunter's should have it covered with Bones of Eao and Radiant Dance Machines.
-
Yeah, they need to fix that. How they missed it us anyone's guess, but then again, this is Bungie we're talking about. They know how to make a fun game, but sometimes they get lost when it comes to the details.

I don't get it... It never got more ammo from fusion rifle perk, right? It got it from more rockets perk... Unless I'm completely mistaken. I always thought it was bugged.
-
The exotics could roll with them
-
Twilight Garrison has a heavy perk. And that'll start dropping with the same update.
-
Sleeper stimulant is not terrible...get it over 305 light, it melts bosses like crazy.
-
I have a exotic armor for my Warlock that has a heavy/special increase of ammo, (starfish protocol I think). Although it says increase ammo drops, it increases ammo reserves instead, like in year one.
-
Also: sleeper is a non issue. No one uses it.
-
I was thinking the same thing. It feels like they are taking zero away, to add zero. It's like the only raid issue fix they made was a "problem" with the daughters screaming?! Was that really a problem?!
-
The armamentarium. And possibly bones of eao and radiant dance machines for hunters. We gotta wait and see. Both those boots had increase heavy ammo
-
what about glass needles?
-
It is a random perk for almost all legendary gear. It can be on almost all Exoitcs also.

Edited by dnrobs: 11/21/2015 6:20:42 AMRuin wings,oh wait increased no but it probably works out similar when you can pick up a full stack.
-
Actually its only not on hunters, I've seen titan crests and warlock chests with it. I expect the ats/8 tarentrlla to have it
-
Didn't Lucky Rasberry have it
-
Edited by ForteGX: 11/20/2015 3:43:57 PMAlchemists Raiment has it. They still need to fix the descriptions on it show they show right all the time, instead of half http://www.destinydb.com/items/2661471738-crest-of-alpha-lupi http://www.destinydb.com/items/2882684152-crest-of-alpha-lupi Neither y2 lupi has been seen with the heavy perk
-
There are armors out the thats have that perk.
-
I believe you can get a heavy ammo perk on exotic armors now
-
star fire protocal and alchemist robes have that for sure. And I dunno why they had to mention the fusion rifle perks. it never worked with SS anyway.
-
I had some rare armor that had it xD probably really rare for legendary and exotic armor to have it on them.
-
Alchemists rainment as well.
-
Not exactly. Alchemist's raiment and the crests of alpha lupi have it.
-
This 100%
-
Some exotics have that perk. But yes, they probably need to allow it to benefit from machine gun or rocket launcher ammo perks. Or both since it's a unique exotic.
-
get fusion ammo stuff :/
