Sooo earlier I was in LFG looking for a group to get at least 7 wins in trials. I created a party and invited people, someone joined so I proceeded to greet them just so they would leave the party immediately after I spoke and it happened several times. Then I would join chats and simply say hi and BOOM I was getting kicked out.
My reasoning was that maybe they got a friend chat invite or people already had a 3rd before I joined. The answer was simple after I stayed in orbit wondering what the hell was wrong, these monkey brains knocked me strait out because they heard I am a woman!!! Like seriously what makes them think I cant hold my ground? Does the mic make me sound like a kid? Were their experiences with female gamers that bad I dont deserve a chance?
Time was against me so I changed tactics, bitch mode activated so in the description I wrote something among the lines of bad ass kick out girl looking for a group.....I wanted to kill the screen when I was getting lots of invites and messages it was embarrassing, thank goodness I got 2 normal people to play with.
I guess this must be why girls like to stay quiet, being afraid of being mocked or kick out of fireteams. I had to purposely put that I am female so at least people knew what to expect when they talk to me and hopefully stay.
Edit 1: im 21, my voice is not squeaky but I guess mic must not helping me portray that since my voice is not deep at all.
Its so dumb, how can I fix this issue?
Edit 2: A few things clear. This account belongs to my fiancé, destiny is my first person shooting game so im still not top dog. Judge me only on the hunter since that is the only character I play.
I play lots of pvp on the vita because im a masochist so I don't care about my K/D.
I have a good clan that has good people but they were offline or busy when I had time to play. I have been ignoring destiny since Disgaea 5 came out so yeah im rusty.
I can hold my own waaay better than before, got some wrecking ball recently so I feel good about that. Thanks for all the very kind replies, I would add most of you but my fiancé will delete so many random people he doesnt know since we like our clan lol.
Edit 3: Hellooo from the other siiiiide.
To the salty people that have posted here I could care more about two poops than your negativity.

2 RepliesLike a lot of other people stated, it could be that players thought you were a squeaker and left. It's not so much the sound of squeakers voices that annoy people, but their need to never shut up or constantly share everything that's going on. But there's several things to point out, it's probably not a bad thing that these people left, because do you really want to play with people that willing to leave you without learning who you are first? Also, you pointed out your K/D ratio and details of why it's that way. Most people going in to trials, want to get to the lighthouse. Yeah you can still get decent gear through the bounties, but being good at PVP is probably more important to people playing Trials then any other form of PVP in Destiny. Since I've only played Trials a handful of times, I've never been to the lighthouse, but I'd really like a shot at getting there. I'm better than the average player at Destiny, but nothing to the level that some people play at. That being said, the only day I can really play trials usually is on a Monday. My roommate has 3 day weekends and always wants to run Trials as well. The only issue is he's not all that great, so he needs to be carried. The only other person I know that likes Trials and can balance out a better than average player and a player that regularly goes 2-6, 1-9, 0-7 or something like that, is 1 friend of mine. We can get to 7-0 only because my friend is really good. So we usually give it a shot every Monday. But this last Friday I was home from work early and had some time to play Trials. The 2 friends I could find that wanted to play, were not very good. We played somewhere around 16 rounds of Trials, and won only a single round. By the time it was over I was frustrated as we were just trying to help 1 friend complete his Gold or Silver tier bounties. It's really frustrating when you're trying to carry people and it constantly ends in failure. I can carry my own weight, but not other peoples. Some people are more patient and have the patience for that, but most don't. I do hope it works out for you, but realize that Trials tend to be reserved for the more hard-core PVP players, so people tend to be tougher and want better teams to compete in it.
