This section of the SWU goes over the past of both the Septagon as well as Bungie itself. In the past we've covered things like pets and world domination, but this week we're going to look at a person, someone who went from the community to the company. Cue Rollin.
Hello all, and welcome to another round of Bungie history! This week’s edition was especially difficult to produce because I am neck deep in radiation, but for you guys I’d conquer any challenge!
This week: Stosh — He hates toast.
Editor's note: I have since confirmed with Stosh that he no longer hates toast if it has a topping like honey on it.
Stosh joined the Bungie community in November of 2001, and in 2002 he became one of the first two non-employee moderators on bungie.net, alongside Shishka. As of August 2006, Stosh began to work at Bungie, and in September of 2009, Stosh was promoted, and hired on as a permanent Bungie employee, gaining the coveted gold text in lieu of his former salmon.*
Stosh is always to blame for everything. This originated when Achronos made a post telling the Community that Stosh was to blame for an error in the Bungie.net website.
*Coloured text? Yes! Bungie.net used to denote moderators with an orange/salmon text colour and employees with gold.
Now, I’m going to sacrifice a bit more for you guys, and go over one more thing this week, and that is “the Shaft.” What is this mythical entity? Well, literally, it’s a piece of PVC piping with the words “THE SHAFT” scrawled onto it with black sharpie. Originating before Marathon, it’s passed around to employees that are given difficult assignments.
I hope you all enjoyed learning things today as much as I did teaching you. Now, I have more pressing matters to attend to, and a Wasteland to plunder!
Remembrance
Rather than closing with something related to Destiny or the Septagon as a whole, I'd like to take this time to address the community members who are reading this or playing Bungie games from places like a military base or who are currently serving in some way, to those who have served their time and returned home, and to those who never came back. Thank you for what you do and for what you have done. There aren't many people in this world who are willing to not only stand up for others, but to risk and spend their lives for people they've never met. Be it any branch, any position, and any place, we thank you for what you've done and do for us. To those who came, lived, and fought long before us, we thank them for the sacrifices they made for the freedoms of people across the world. We may not know your names and who you are, what you've done, who or what you've lost, or if you're still with us, but it's because of people like you that we can know, if ever we need help, there will be someone to stand with us.
Thank you.

Newbies: Which holiday, celebration, or event would you like to see in Destiny?
Ancients: What's your favourite Easter Egg from any Bungie game?
Video of the Week: My Name is Byf has put together, what is the start of, a great series detailing and telling the story of the Books of Sorrow. I highly recommend people interested in the lore give it a look and listen if reading fifty cards isn't your style.

Edited by DMHMetni: 11/16/2015 2:52:25 AMTo answer both, I definitely want to see Xmas in the Tower. After seeing what Bungie had in store for Halloween, I think a lot of festivities hold potential for fun. When it comes to easter eggs in Halo, there really are too many to choose one. But if I had to choose a single most memorable egg for me, it'd have to the Megg Egg in CE. Awesome SWU. Always looking forward to reading more content from you guys.

Man, there are a lot of awesome Easter eggs that come to mind, but the best ones in my opinion were the scarab gun and the tribute room. Really awesome stuff.
-
Tribute Room was amazing. I spent so much time in there.
-
I think the Tribute Room is the best Easter Egg. Probably one of the easiest to see, and contains a lot of cool stuff.

Edited by Seraphim Crypto: 11/13/2015 10:37:17 PMSweet SWU. Keep that shit up. I do really enjoy reading them. Question Time! Oh boy. I would like to see Valentine's Day. Bungie celebrated that day before within Halo. Other Holiday I would like to see would be St. Patrick's Day. But I'm not sure it all the work would be worth it, to celebrate a single day. My favourite Bungie easteregg? There are way too many to decide on one. EDIT: I planned to reply to the original post, but I screwed up again.
