So I guess marching band is a sport then, eh?

Playing 18 hours a day 6-7 days a week strains the eyes, hands, wrists, elbows, your back and neck if you dont have a good posture. Not much different than blowing out your ACL from a powerbomb in wrestling
reference to seth rowlings -blam!-ing up in ireland last week
Then how are poker and chess sports?
-
They aren't really. They fall into more of a sub category of sports, just like e sports do. They aren't "true sports", but they have enough sport like qualities to be considered one.
-
Something like competitive gaming?
-
Pretty much.
-
I'd be down with that name. E sports sounds kinda dumb

Using a controller is physical exertion, it's just not as extreme as football or hockey.
-
Don't be ridiculous. It's such a minor physical exertion that there's no point in even considering it as one. It's literally only the use of fingers and thumbs. By the same logic, typing on a computer is also a physical activity.

Edited by Dount Cooku: 11/10/2015 10:48:04 PMThey may be minor exertions, but esports players have to train to make those minuscule actions to be as close to perfect as possible; in much the same way that actual athletes train. Also chess is considered a sport, so why not video games?
-
Dude. All playing video games does is make your health worse. It's not even close to a sport. They train their hands by jacking off all day.
-
Based on your "jacking off" comment, I'm just gonna assume you know nothing about Esports.
