I know you would never go back and make it closer to the original game its too late for that but to help settle the flames in the community you should let us see the supercut and decide if the move you made was for the best, you completely broke down the game and rebuilt it less than a year before the release, that's a really really tough decision and we need to know why you made that, hearing that you don't like the supercut is not good enough of a reason to strip the game before the release, we need to know how "bad" it was to make you do that.
Or a better question would be why didn't you use the beta for what it was intended for, to help you guys build a better game, you made the decision to completely change the game like just before beta, that's the only reason I said give the decision to them. you could have put the super cut into the beta and let players determine if it was the right direction, honestly this is what betas are for to help determine the best direction for the game and when you have such an important turning point, you really should have relied on more than the decision of just two people in such a drastic change.
