Getting over social anxiety disorder, or any anxiety really, is like explaining to someone without it why you can't get over it and them fully understanding. It's not possible. You can cope and enjoy life more and more each day you work to overcome it. But it will always be with you.
I would suggest talking to someone. A professional or even just someone who feels the same way.

Agreed. I once idiotically thought I could handle working in a call center. One bad call on my fourth or so day... I quit on the spot. Never again my nightmares tell me. Haha
-
I still work in one, it's a nightmare.. I can't describe how miserable it's been making me, but, I need the cash and there's few jobs in my area
-
It sucks being stuck in a job you can't stand. I understand that all too well. Are there jobs outside of your area that are still close enough for you to commute?

Edited by VVVV: 11/11/2015 9:49:55 PMThe jobs around town a about an hour or so commute via bus away, and currently, I have a good gig carpooling to my current job, which saves some cash on transit, haven't gotten my license yet, which I'll have to do by next year Edit: Engrish

I drive about 45 minutes to an hour to work. The pay is crap though. If it wasn't for the benefits and the fact that I work 10pm to 6am and rarely have to deal with people I would quit. I didn't get my license until after I turned 20. Why do you need to get one?
-
The transit sucks here, an hour transit on the bus can be covered in like a 20 minute drive, I'm currently 21, only have a learner's though, It expires next year, so, I'm going to have to hop on that. My job offers benefits as well, which makes it harder to leave, but, my work effort has dropped drastically compared to when I first started and even now, I absolutely dread leaving for work.
-
An hour on a bus with strangers? Thats got to be the worst. Mine has dropped to. But I don't really care. My current job hours allow me to watch anime for 8 hours and get paid for it haha. I do want to cry when I have to leave for work though. I hate that place.

Edited by VVVV: 11/12/2015 3:16:53 AMNo kidding, Soon as 3:30 hits, I'm out the door so damn fast, you could probably see a dust cloud like those in the loony toons. I can't goof off though, My internet usage is strictly monitored due to what I'm suppose to be doing, rather than pretending to do, so, I spend a majority of my time with my head in my hands, or reading James Altucher articles on LinkedIn, since that site is all cool to browse there. Edit: No typo will go uncorrected!

Haha same here. 6am hits, I'm gone. I'm the only person at my job when I work. Another reason it's hard to leave. No supervision is a plus. LinkedIn is the only website you're allowed to browse? I'm crying for you. I love how you correct yourself.

I have access to every site I want, but, anything irregular will have the manager on my ass. LinkedIn just so happens to be a social media site I'm able to frequent and it contains articles I enjoy reading, so, I can get away with it.
